How NOT to ride a motorcycle....

http://www.flashyourrack.com/flash.cgi?user=roadwhore

There are so many things wrong in this picture I hardly know where to begin. For starters:

1) The brain bucket helmet offers zero protection in a crash, unless you land on the top of your head. A fatal head injury would be preferable to living the rest of your life without a face, however.

2) Halter top offers zero prtection in a crash. Say goodbye to the skin on your arms, back and chest. The good news is that you'll probably die of infection rather quickly.

3) Riding two abreast (no pun intended), in a corner, with one hand off the bars while looking away from the road is a recipe for disaster. Seriously hope this woman is an organ donor.

4) She's riding a Harley. Under the best of circumstances, this requires your full attention, as you never know which part will fall off next.

5) Dress for your weight....

ColBigBalls 02-04-2004 12:06 PM

on the other hand by crashing she might be doing us all a favor.

The motorcycle is the least of the things wrong in that picture.

preach on brother....

i'm about to go for a ride myself....i'll look like a power ranger when I'm done putting my gear on....but I'll be protected.

WTF is she showing with her fingers?...

Amputate Your Head 02-04-2004 12:11 PM

the only thing wrong with this picture is the fact that you feel the need to pass judgement on her (them) based on some flimsy pretense of superiority on your part. Don't like motorcycles? Don't ride one.

People live their own lives and can do whatever the fuck they want. She's not judging you on the way you drive your car.

Get over it.

SleazyDream 02-04-2004 12:13 PM

actually it's called a "shaka", and it means "hang loose", and she's doing it wrong.

CDSmith 02-04-2004 12:17 PM

Then I guess this guy's little stunt would be completely out of the question eh?

If you use the thumb instead of the 'pointing finger' it's indeed shaka...if not..it's devil's horns

Re #4 - Obviously you are prejudiced by Harleys past rep. I have owned several recent ones, and the quality has vastly improved over the yrs

You dont know any details of that picture like , speed , area, traffic.

I would feel alot safer doing that on a flat empty arizona highway doing 40

than driving 90 on the packed freeway in a civic in california

Mr Pheer 04-13-2005 12:51 PM

thats just how most guys that ride cruisers dress for the ride. Doesnt matter if its a Harley, Honda, Yamahaha, whatever... most guys on cruisers dont wear all the gear for 2 reasons:

1) it doesnt look "cool"
2) they seem to think "it wont happen to me"

She might be a stunt driver, and be travelling at 20 mph. You just don't know, dude.

And she's giving me the 'Helsinki HallDogs' signal... curses.

Damn, DJ, you sure have good vision. You can see a corner coming up? How fucking insightful of you to let the rest of us know.

And, if you want to talk "organ donors," let's first start with those airheads that that think colorful leather goods will keep their ricers from putting them "through a mountain."

Believe me, I've rounded corners to find you shithead rice jockeys standing around your own a whole lot more times than I've found Harleys off the side of the road with their drivers down.

You don't like a titty shot from a Harley. Then go out and find some bubble gum chewing teeny bopper to crawl on your back and take her for a whiz-bang ride. You have no position to comment on Harleys OR their drivers.

Me? Harleys for over 25 years! Been down? Once. And it was totally my fault. Mental gear slip.

You guys like to take your $8-9K bikes and put them between two $2K cars. You just don't do that with $18-$20K of American Thunder between your legs.

Get a hint!
