Adult biz and crime?

So what percentage of people in the adult biz would you say are actively involved in organized crime or have criminal backgrounds? What percentage of webmasters have been arrested? Do you think that xxx is a big raquet for organized crime?

Stallion 02-03-2004 11:22 PM

Hmmm, I would guess maybe 25-35% have been arrested before or currently involved in criminal activities.

Digipimp 02-03-2004 11:28 PM

Is organized crime making it's way into the cam studio you think yet. I would think that might be the raquet for them (not that i know anything about that) but I would think pushing money through a cam studio would be a nice way to work it.

You shouldn't be discussing this subject on an open board.

I remember this coming up with a reporter who had spoken to me a few years ago. They seemed to think that there is a ton of organized crime in this biz. I've been doing designs for people for over seven years now and did all that demi-political stuff and have met and interacted with hundreds of businesses and I have yet to come across anyone who gave any impression of there being anything of that nature. Not sure what might happen or not that would indicate organized crime but it's just seem so far removed from that, that I would be real surprised if it was any more than the tiniest percent. I would expect more of that element with strip clubs and such.

"Welcome back Officer Mitchell! I'm glad you're here; I wanna report a crime! Larry puked in the aquarium, stinks very much bad in here......hey, I thought you said you didn't want to come back out here again tonight..."

They're here. They're ultra quiet. You'll never know it even when you meet them in person.

pussyluver 02-03-2004 11:50 PM

How could you call what I do organized? I don't feel what I do in the biz a crime at all. Well, unless you call not being better at it a crime?

When's google gonna join the family?

As in all biz, a few have had scraps with the law I'm sure. A few DWI/DUIs, traffic, drugs and who knows what else.

I don't think the whole thing is run by organized crime. Yeah sure! Boss Lensman, Hitman Juicy, Smokey The Hacker, Loan Shark 12Clicks, Pick Pockey PK, Protection Racket Pimpdog

See, it just doesn't play.

Yep people still have an idea of organized crime as a bunch of guys sitting at a pizza joint all sloppy in jogging suits and shit. Just like anything else everyone raquet evolves and so do the people involved in it, and most people would never even know or guess they were dealing with someone who was.

Don't know and don't care...it is not up to me to know that.:thumbsup
