Anyone else have a HATRED for American Idol?
 

I hate karokee.

If I'm with a group that wants to go to a karokee bar I go home alone.

I can't stand it.

Personally I don't understand the fasicination with American Idol cept maybe for the last 5-6 shows once they've culled the herd, but then it's really profssionals dueling it out and you really can't call it amateur anymore at that point.

The show absolutely blows once they've gotten through the average americans.

i hate that show with a passion. whats amazing is that this damn show actually makes the news. since when is a tv show worth talking about on the news every fucking night. and why dont they talk about every show? if i watch cnn i wanna know what bush is fucking up, not who's blowing simon in the dressing room.

I love the first auditions and then the next few shows when those who sang well during the audition really suck and those who think they're going to make it all the way get booted. :1orglaugh

Funniest thing I have seen in a long time. Someone had to put that guy up to that, certainly he didn't think he had a chance.

It is a decent reality show, but I still think the Real World has it down. Pick a group of people to sit around, fuck, fight and what not.

Karaoke bars seem fun, but I refuse to watch American Idol. Seems too selloutish to me. Infomercials are better than American Idol.

I like it alot. I hate all other "reality" tv but this one I do like.

I like seeing the idiots with ego's that far outstretch their talent get shot down... and the people who think they can sing get booted. It's almost like they're plants because noone can be that bad but think they're that good.. I't embarrassing to admit.. but i don't mind the show.. i've only seen the aussie idol one and it got pretty good towards the end with the better singers duelling it out even though most of the songs and styles are shite and it's about 180 degrees from the sort of music i buy and listen to. something about following someone all the way from audition to mainstream commercialized "success".. it's not as bad as some of the other shit on tv.. it's either that or 101 home renovation "reality" shows at the moment.

well actually the shield is pretty good as well as the law and order franchise but i digress.

I think that it's a pretty good show to watch. There's still a lot of interesting things in the show even passed the auditions.

I can't stand that show. I have judged talent like that for a living. It's a tedious job because most aspiring artists are really that bad. Now this show makes them cheezy show tunes on top of it all. I can't believe people like to see this!?!

what i dont understand is that they had a football stadium FILLED with wannabes, they got "screened" by other judges to go in front of Simon & Co. yet, 1/2 of them SUCK! Are they filtering for ratings or talent or both?

Sleazy, for once I wholeheartedly, emphatically, and religiously agree with you! That show blows, karaoke blows, pop boy-band style manufactured music blows, and it wasn't interesting enough for one series, let alone 3.

I agree AI is only really good until the very last few.. but there was some funny shit with the tryouts..

Clay is a home boy so gotta love him. He was my daughter's Y instructor and was a really great guy!!
