For all of you on Atkins... What do you think?

How far will low-carb go? Pizza may be next-

Donatos Pizzeria is one of the few restaurants experimenting with a low-carb pizza, center, using soy protein in the dough.

You can eat carbs, just need to not eat as much. If people ate properly, which takes time and costs more than eating carb filled food then we'd all be healthy. You'd need to eat a huge yummy salad or a few slices of pizza to feel full. The salad will give your body energy for a long time compared to the pizza. Anyways.

Cheers,
Matt

Everybody in this country now thinks carbohydrates are the devil.

Want to know how to lose weight?

Calories IN vs. Calories OUT.

My solution? Get a dog. It worked for me.

I got a dog and I have to walk it every night. I am walking 20 minutes a night. I lost 10 lbs in about 3 weeks.

That's good and all but how many calories do I burn by typing, answering the phone, beating off, and sitting my ass in this chair 14 hours a day? :helpme

Low Carbs is my only option.

The low carb diet made me just feel all-out better.

I avoid foods that are altered to get the effect, they can do a number on the stomach.

Low carb pizza!! I would like to try it.

You should really lay off the sauce this early in the morning though Brad. Your typos are already making it hard for us to understand what the hell you are saying! :1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

I am not on the atkins diet but, I do watch my carb intake. I love carbs so much! But, I have to do it in moderation to keep my girlish figure :1orglaugh

Thanks Brad! :winkwink:

Seriously, lowering my carb intake has helped me tremendously and it has also helped energize me. I also don't feel bloated anymore.

I read this book and decided that a high protein diet was best for me and indeed it is! Turning 30 didn't help either...:1orglaugh

It's good! But i wouldn't do it all the time!

gleem 02-03-2004 10:58 AM

Here in Ohio, Donatos has had crustless pizza for a few weeks, and we have it like once a week, it's ok, but it just makes you crave real pizza, plus when you look at the carb count, it's really not that low:

I usually get the Mariachi crustless pizza and it pretty much has all the carbs you can eat in a day, so you eat it thinking your stiking to the diet, but one more thing with any carbs puts you over the top.

I did Atkins for 6 weeks while working out to tone up and lose some flab...

I was super fucking hungry all the time, didn't have much energy, and my shit came out like fucking bricks.

Not fun.

Did the trick though... It's just not the most pleasant diet IMO. If I were to do it again I'd probably do something a bit more conservative like the Zone or South Beach.

:2 cents:

We've been making low-carb pizza for quite a while. Definitely some good dough mixes out there now.
