quiet since you're bored, maybe you'd like to answer a question..

being well off as you are... are you happy? we all know the term "money can't buy happiness" but, it can surely help... have you reached your goals?

my personal goals are rather humble, just live within a several mile radius of a beach and have a jacuzzi. i think i'd be happy if i had that... but, unfortunately - satisfaction only lasts so long.

adamneve 02-03-2004 02:15 AM

answering email, reading the board and going to make some coffee

you answered your own question in that line.

a big part of being happy is not getting what you want, but wanting what you currently got.

Morgan 02-03-2004 02:16 AM

i'm happy with what i currently have, but i want more, i'm still young - i have a ways ahead of me.

but what about you? looking back on your early goals and what you thought would make you happy, did you reach them - if so, are you happy?

unfortunately i don't really know whether or not i'll be truly happy once i reach my goals. people want more n' more, i dont know if i'll be able to break away from that mentality.

It's the nature of life that you're satisfied for a while after reaching goals, and then you want more... Life is about (personal) growth, and if you're not growing, you're dying. When you get close to reaching a goal, you'd better have the next one lined up or else you're rapidly going to find yourself bored and disenchanted.
