I wonder how many Newbies get scared off from their First Post?

With all of us crazy buggers telling them to 'Fuck Off!'

MichaelP 02-02-2004 06:02 PM

I am still scared :1orglaugh

nathan_f 02-02-2004 06:02 PM

I'd bet a lot, it seems they post about 3 times on average.

Original post, a come back to all the insults they got, and another come back.

Then gone for good.

Who cares, it's GFY. So :321GFY

:winkwink:

Cheers,

It is a message board not real life. If I came in a room where people were really like they are on GFY I might be scared away.

doober 02-02-2004 06:04 PM

I find that to post on this board you have to be a somewhat seasoned webmaster...this isnt the place for newbies.
Anyone that just shows up and posts without finding out what this place is like deserves the way gfy welcomes them
on that note :321GFY

I would have if I took the time to read some of the posts before I initially posted.

I wouldn't recommend any newbie to post here until they have read the board for at least month.

I would have done things differently.
I wasn't used to the many master bloggers that reside here.
[hey - I own that... ; ) ]

Hind sight is 20-20 ... oh well

Indeed. But one can learn much from this board when starting out.

Ben-MensNiche 02-02-2004 06:10 PM

I'd recommend making 1 or 2 posts and not even reading any of the responses before you start making any proper posts.

MetaMan 02-02-2004 06:10 PM

u all are worthless pieces of crap who i wouldnt let around me let alone shit out my ass and step on.

Yes ... you can learn much.
I have.

But the newbie needs to implement filtering right off the bat now.
GFY is not like it used to be.
It's old school in a new information age.
Some haven't got that yet.

Natural selection. The weak will be removed from the herd.

First time I signed on I thought you all were a bunch of assholes telling me to fuck off...

After 4,000 posts...

....I now know that you are all in fact a bunch of assholes and I don't know why I continue to post here....

I like you think it's fun.

Have at it.

My fulltime hamburger flipper job - keeps me grounded.
GFY is NOT reality ... if you didn't know.

Which would - I surmize - be good advice to the newbie.

true, but its mostly by reading some of the experienced posters posts.
Too many retards here for newbies to interact in any efficient way, plus the fact that they will get slammed for asking almost any question if anyone here even thinks hes a lil green

It doesn't help that most new posters are spamming.

And then you realize ...
if you ARE a newbie ..we've all heard it many thousand times before ...

Bow to the power ...

Spunky 02-02-2004 08:19 PM

I look at it this way..The noobs are the ones that click your programs /sigs.If you are rude or just tell them to fuck off..do you think they would click your sig?:2 cents:
