What counts in selecting a sponsor? The obvious, will it convert, does it cover the niche I need?

What else do you look for? Free hosting, hosted galleries, BYOT, big payouts, signup bonus, rev-share, quality of content, free trials, exit consoles, no exit consoles, banners, anything else?

After what is important to you.

How much money do I make for the traffic I send them, compared to my other sponsors.

Do they pay, and on time.

And that's it.

I like the ones that put flashy cars and copyrighted music in their banners.

If they have a shady click count (soulcash, platinum bucks, etc)

If they just came out of nowhere and started paying per trial signup with the latest shady affiliate software...

If they redirect European traffic

If their sites look like shit or are messy

If they have enter popups

If I wake up one morning, and every moron on the board is talking about their super hot conversions like the sponsor has been around for years... yet I never heard of them before

If they have the same shitty 800pixels wide * 200pixels heigh graphical tour pages as a million other sponsors out there...

If they promise 50 billion pictures, 60 thousand live feeds and 600 billion movies

If they charge more than $29.99/month

The ad content quality also does matter.

With one quick search at Sponsors List.com you can find sponsors that pay weekly and by PayPal or wire and other criteria you may also want in a sponsor.
