How fucking hard is it..

For you program owners to give me my fucking linking codes? Don't tell me replace this and do that and modify this, GIVE ME THE FUCKING LINK CODE, finished product. Jesus fucking christ, it isn't goddamn brain surgery!!!!! ONE SIMPLE FUCKING SCRIPT. FUCK!

Sorry, had to rant, so sick of you lazy fucks.

beemk 02-01-2004 04:16 PM

yeah its a pain in the ass. and they probably lose out on newbie traffic becuase they cant figure it out.

StuartD 02-01-2004 04:16 PM

You'd be surprised how many ccbill sponsors tell me they have a webmaster referal program and then never give you the link code for it at all, much less instructions on where to put your referal ID.

Juicy D. Links 02-01-2004 04:17 PM

lol sometimes you wonder if these program owners have any clue

I'm not a newbie but admittedly, I have no fucking idea how ccbill's linking codes work, so when they tell me to replace this and modify that but leave "ccbill" alone but remove CCBILL, wtf? :helpme

mardigras 02-01-2004 04:21 PM

I feel your pain:1orglaugh

Or how about sponsors who send out an e-mail telling you about some new site or marketing tool on such and such page and even the front page mentions it but it's not there or is hidden behind obscure or poorly chosen links.

I get nervous with the "build-your-own-links" especially when they are using a system that doesn't show your refcode when the link is opened but the regular index page. I won't even use those if they don't show clicks in the stats.

jimboc 02-01-2004 04:22 PM

Yeah, shame about the fucking annoying music on your homepage though:mad:

No shit I was trying to figure out some different ccbill link codes for some galleries yesterday and couldn't seem to piece it together. I ended up putting in different stuff and clicking it and then waiting to see if clicks ever showed up and then trying again.

I don't know man I waited a couple hours to see if my clicks showed up or not. As big as they are and all that shit they sure have a fucked up system and no one explains it, hell there's not even a FAQ in the admin panel to tell you what a correct code would look like.

ProAdult's srev is easier to use and figure out.

Are you shitting me? Hours? Why do people promote things on CCBill if it takes hours to know if your link code is bunked? Wow.

Yup, I agree. I always get nervous when modifying link codes...just cause one slip up can end up costing you a ton of money. Bleh. Giving linkcodes should be standard practice.

funkmaster 02-01-2004 04:32 PM

... no ccbill involved !!!

oh, and for the record... yeah, 5 mins to write it. Well, 2 mins to write the script part, and 3 mins to fit it into the existing design, upload and save.

Then presto, you've got a link code generator that people can use without having to figure stuff out on their own.

That sounds far too complicated.

Fluid of Fuck Me 02-01-2004 04:42 PM

hell..
CCBill's concentrating too hard on scrubbing me into oblivion. Every program I have with them, no sales in 6 months. I don't even promote anything with them as a processor now.

Ash@phpFX 02-01-2004 07:51 PM

i agree :glugglug

laura99 02-01-2004 07:53 PM

You done crying yet Jact? ;)

laura99 02-01-2004 08:18 PM

I'm not a representative, it's his company, I have nothing to do with it. I do something totally different in the business.

Phoenix 02-01-2004 08:21 PM

Your link codes are eaaaassy to find, no worries there. Hey, when's a new epsiode going up for that "gay" site you guys have? You know, the gagging one? :1orglaugh

Rictor 02-01-2004 08:24 PM

When you log into CCbill, you will see a list of programs you signed up for. Click on "Get banners" and you will get your link code for that program.

"The Get Banners page allows you to select the banners/ links that will be displayed on your website. Select as many banners as required.
Webmaster Program: EZ Adult Cash (923191-0000)

Code: >A HREF="http://refer.ccbill.com/cgi-bin/clicks.cgi?CA=923191-0000&PA=444190"<
>IMG SRC="http://YOUR_DOMAIN.COM/IMAGE.FILE" BORDER=0<
/A<"

So my code would be http://refer.ccbill.com/cgi-bin/clic...0000&PA=444190

If I used that code on my galleries it would work fine.

Now for our uses, CCbill provides 0 tracking stats, so we ask affiliates to use our custom linking codes (optional).

444190 would be my CCbill ID

So my linking code would like like this:

http://aff.ezacash.com/?Site=cfa&Aff=ccbill444190

Rictor 02-01-2004 08:27 PM

If there's an easier way to explain this, I'm open to hearing it.

Rictor 02-01-2004 08:52 PM

I added some more instructions to the link code page. Hopefully this is helpful.

thats because your traffic and marketing skills suck cow's ass.

arg 02-02-2004 09:51 PM

CCBill is by far the worst. Instead of one login and one password, they give you like two logins and one password, but if you have multiple accounts then you have other logins id that are unrelated to the login ids you need to log in with, along with sponsor numbers. So you've got like a login id, an account number, a master account number, and a sponsor id, then they give you some cryptic URL and tell you to replace the account id with your special master number or some shit, but they don't tell you what the account id was, and "special master number" doesn't match the terminology they used for any of your other numbers. Or some crap like that. It's been a while, I just remember it sucked some ass.
