Persians at the club last night
 

So, I went out for a night of dancing with the girl, her friend, and a friend of mine. Having a good time in a popular club in downtown Vancouver. Yay... yeah, this is fun, woo woo!


Well, the above was true for about 10 minutes, because some persians / hindus had to get all huffy. There was a small altercation where one of the guys was being escorted out, and suddenly like the parting of the seas, like 20 of his friends RUSH out from seemingly nowhere, pushing chicks / servers / elderly / small animals / nuns and anything else in their way over. Of course there was alot of yelling in some moonmanesque language, and about 10 guys eventually got asked to leave.


Great! back to having a good time. Or did I speak too soon? Yup. About 10 minutes later, some other brown guys decided to have a mini-pushing match in the middle of the dance floor. Nice. So while this was going on, people are getting tossed about while Akmed and Ahwaz are proving how manly and tough they are. A minute goes by and their display of might comes to an end, but only after wooing dozens and dozens of young maidens.


Cool, back to having a good time. Oh wait...


So my girl goes outside with her friend to have a smoke. One of the 10 guys kicked out earlier puts his arm around her and her friend, on their shoulders. He says to them "I WANT TO KILL SOMEONE TONIGHT" to impress them. I wasn't around, thankfully, but he apparently was doing this to a few women outside in front of the bar. However, at this particular place the doormen have no authority beyond the little velvet rope.


I hate when drunken macho men travel in large packs, without any women to keep their tempers down, who basically set out to fuck other peoples' nights up. Luckily nothing happened last night but at several points drunk arabs almost ran over my girlfriend on the fucking dance floor. :(

So what's the problem, you're in a club, in Canada even, it's not like they have guns or anything. Just start punching motherfuckers in the face. Go for it, you'll never catch me scared up in a club wondering what to do about some guys causing trouble no matter how many of them there are.

Even worse you won't catch me with my own girl at a club because that's just asking for trouble.

I would, but in Vancouver we almost exclusively have a problem with indo-canadians ( Whatever that is, I guess I'm euro-canadian? anglo-canadian? ) causing trouble. They are responsible for the club shootings, and the 20 on 1 fights.

I really have no problem with the people as a whole, but the persian / east indian male youth carry chips on their shoulders in this city.

That's the problem, those guys can't fight, so they DO have guns. Loft Six has been shot up twice with several people dead each time. I believe a couple people are quads now, too.

I dunno about other countries, but where I am from it's just common knowledge to not talk to, and at least not get into a fight with these ragheads, as they tend to gang up on you with knives / guns.

Then, when one rowdy one gets kicked out, 10 others of them CHARGE The bouncer and yell at him in farsi or whatever. Fucking crazy. Then the talk outside of killing someone... great. I've been to the Cellar a few times, mostly white, relaxed crowd, and quite nice inside.

I don't care what the crowd is, as long as it's not the fucking tense when-is-the-big-group-of-xxxxxx-race-going-to-start-a-fight type of bullshit that radiated out of the Plaza last night. When the dance floor turns into a Tehran Mosh Pit then I start getting pissed off.

Like I said, I really don't have a problem with any people or culture. I have a problem with the male youth of a few cultures.

Not to say "white" culture doesn't have it's problems. Lord, we do. However, what I notice in Vancouver is the far majority of nightclub trouble is caused by a small ethnic group of people who, for whatever reason, always seem to start the fights.


I don't judge a brown / green / purple / white / yellow person.

I am, however, very cautious when I see a large group of brown guys, compared to asians, white, etc.

Yeah, the Wild Coyote used to turn back brown people entirely because 5-6 years ago they had nothing but head stompings delivered by carloads upon carloads of EIs from Delta. Very shitty policy considering my co-worker was turned away after I invited him and his girlfriend out, who just happen to both be brown.

Yep they still have it.When they do decide to show up they are allowed to wear their colors..You don't want to piss them off.They normally are just casual bunch that sorta stick to themselves.I guess thats why the Ethnics stay away from there come to think about it :glugglug

You Canadians would get your shit fucked up here in the US, there's nothing scary about Canada. Come to some clubs here in the US where there are several fights, stabbings and shootings every night at a club.

You go to the right ones and it will damn near seem like it sometimes. The club I used to hang out at in Dallas there were no less than 4 or 5 big fights every night. Then another couple outside, and then police officers being assaulted, windows being busted out, people getting stabbed with broken bottles, and then after all that someone would get pissed and shoot at everyone in the parking lot.

You get used to it and at the really gangster clubs the chicks will fuck you up worse than the guys.

In lovely historic Gastown in Vancouver, there are several upscale clubs along the brick road. However, this borders our skid row, which has the highest density of HIV and AIDS infected people in North America.


Two friends of mine used to bounce at a couple clubs down there, and have had a couple experiences with some of the walking dead. Apparently there is this really, really fucked up guy who had the idea that it would be funny to stick needles in himself and parade in front of club patrons. He apparently looked like a cactus with about a half dozen needles sticking out of him. They kept falling out and he'd bend down to pick them up and stick them back in, laughing.


Anyways, nobody, even the police, really wanted to deal with that guy. I think he said they eventually chased him down the street and dealt with him away from the public eyes.


Damn, those Dallas bars sound like warzones. :) Kinda like the bar scene in Pirates of the Caribbean.

I miss clubbing in Costa Rica. The security down there are packing shotguns. The security guards that aren't packing guns travel in groups of 10 with metal batons. Nobody fucks around at the good bars down there.

I am not sure what vancouver you guys are in but the one I am in have problems with all the races when you get a large group of them selves drunk and in public.

In fact out of all my incidents of being a bouncer or a drunk patron being in the middle of a fight I would say 65% of my issues were with white guys of whom probably owned a "support" shirt of what ever Hells Angel champter wa snear their house and because of it thought they were bikers.

I have always said this, and this is the truth.....the reason every one thinks East Indians or Arabs are so big into causing problems and sexually harassing people is the way they look. In general they strike us as such an opposite of us we naturally don't trust them.

If you sent me and some punjab into a bar with identically the same routine to do by the time it was said and done the punjabi guy would be getting ten times the flack I would be getting.

Majority of our problems in bars are from bars continued practices of over serving and the practice of letting in people all ready too drunk for their own good.

You get enough whiskey into any one and they will start acting like an ass. God knows I have been banned from a few bars due to it and I am a pretty nice guy when sober.
