Virus Infected?
I am a little puzzled. I have never had a virus problem, always hat Norton. How do people get these viruses? All my e-mails are scanned automatically, get about 100 virus mails a day, but they all get blocked by Norton.

I also use AVG free anti-virus program from grisoft.com It is less draining and obtrusive on my system than Norton was and has kept me virus free for over 2 years. Of course, as someone mentioned earlier you've got to make sure whatever anti-virus program you are using is updated regularly. Not updating is little better than not having an anti-virus program at all. Here's a good page for tools and info: http://geekytips.com/virus.html |
People are stupid and careless.

The only virus I ever got came pre-installed on a computer I bought from a mom and pop computer store (and no, I'm not talking about windows :Graucho ).
Since I had never downloaded or installed anything and it was crashing and acting up right from the start I assumed that I got flawed hardware and began replacing everything on the system. After two weeks I finally decided to run a virus scan and figured it out. The store apologised but I never bought anything from them again. |
