Domain investors, do you see the value of .jp domains increasing in the future?

.jp registrations have been rising steady as more and more Japanese come online. Anyone want to speculate on the potential of .jp names?

I don't see any reason why they wouldn't become more valuable over time, but it doesn't matter unless you actually own a good one.

Buy .com, you can't go wrong. All the others are second rate.

I registered ebony.jp and webcams.jp a few months back. Still some good ones available if you look hard enough. I doubt anyone would want them now but I'm wondering how the market will be down the road.

You have to ask a Japanese person if the words ebony or webcams mean anything to them.

Not sure if they use the word ebony but the ebony niche sells well to Japanese surfers from what I've read. As for webcams, of course they know what that is and there is a current site on webcam.jp that sells webcams.

sure, .jp domains will increase in value eventually. I think they're currently overpriced though.
