wow.... i heard feltch and all of them talk about how much quicker the pages are when you turn off sigs.... maybe not for you ppl in the usa, but for ppl offshore i think it makes a big difference... nice!

If rules, it makes you read the board differently too, in that you read people's posts without knowing what they're trying to sell you. No big gaps between each post is also great for skimming through threads.

Eh, people put so much effort into their sigs, I figure viewing them is the least I can do.

where do you turn them off at? Most sigs, including mine annoy me.

Alot of sigs can be annoying, though I have found some good stuff in others.

I like them, some of them have tits in them!

Not me, I'm just jealous that I can't sell my sig, and so I don't wanna support those that can. It'll be wasted paid advertising.

i leave them on because those 1% of times you see something useful to you is worth it

I find sigs useful to find out about new sponsers and such, I dont have any loading issues either though

sigs are really just advertising now, if i had the option of turing ads off on TV i would. my adsl is a decent speed, but i notice a good decrease in load time with sigs off. having said that, i know sigs are an important part of the business for a lot of people and i'm glad they're available.

also keep in mind im 3000 miles away on a 256k DSL ($200+) so the banners in your sigs affect me more

I'm sold ... those 250kb gif files some peeps use in their sig doesn't make it better. If only Flash would be allowed again, I might switch back.

With an ignore list and sigs off option, the board is promptly making a nice come back :)
