Epassporte?
 
I used my Epassporte to make a purchase from Amazon, they authed the charge, then later that day processed another charge for the same amount. Usually with a real cc, or with Paypal within 10 days the auth drops off.. Is that the case with Epassporte? Apparently not. :(

The suck, I would never touch it. I can't see people using something just because someone has a name that's getting paid by them.

OMG, you know how embarrassing it is to always get those "insufficient funds" messages at ATMs?

I can get $500.00 total per day out.

I went Thursday, got $300 from one and $200 from another.

I go Friday, non sufficient funds at 3 banks. Finally got *some* money out. I can't wait to see what I can get today, lol.

Call support and talk to some jockey about how you do have money and can't get it out and they dunno why. LOL.

I was on the phone with them one time for TWO hours because my PIN was erased from the system, that was like the 3rd time it happened :)

I had a similar happenstance with my Paypal debit card, but got that easily fixed with a 5 minute phone call. Holding an auth for 30 days however is simply rediculous. Any money I get with Epassporte in future will be immediately moved over to Paypal. :2 cents:

Despite what their propaganda campaign may lead some to believe, they operate a quite inferior system. I use it only if I have no other option, usually when dealing with certain offshore transactions.

The same people who say it's great are also the same people who had their paypal account jacked. I haven't had a single glitch with paypal in 6 years. Those who have problems must be chronic funds transfer bouncers.

Well, if Paypal will accept their virtual credit cards, if not, I'll just run a charge through my processing for my balance. Anything to get the money away from these people.

Ah, I just pull it out of the ATM, although, heh, it may take a few tries :)

One thing.. my wife cannot use our Visa cards where she buys her Asthma medicine from in Brazil (There's no field for C V V, which is *required* by our card issuers) and epass virtual works every time.

I also have used it at GoDaddy successfully in the past, but have yet to find a POP that will accept it.

Isn't that out of the frying pan and into the fire ? I realize there are few alternatives but Pay Pal are you serious ?

We signed up to Epassport to pay a designer and had an enormous amount of trouble with their system. To pay a designer 200 dollars they ended up subtracting 900 dollars from my bank account and held it for a week. According to their help desk, the techies were working on their system at the time I tried to add funds to my account. He told me to try again later, then try again later. It held the money from my account (and they have up to 1 year to complete the transaction if they like-according to Bank of America). I watched the money go from my bank account into epassport but not into my account on epassport.

4 calls to their tech support later, they took another 50 dollars from my BOA account yet it also never showed up in my passport account. Tech support told me to call and remind them if I don't get it back in 3 or 4 days. I never could pay my designer with them.

WTF?

Then you are the lucky one !! But seriously almost every one i know that had a Pay Pal account has some sort of problem. I lost $500 with then that was paid to a design company and then up a froze their account ( still frozen 16 weeks later ) i am not saying use E Passporte as i feel they are too expensive but with Pay Pal its only a matter of time. I see the pros and cons and I can assure you I have never had problems with them nor with the ATMs. But show me one system having no glitches during an update..

I don't even have paypal, they don not deal with adult...

One shouldn't have to go to Rand every time something doesn't go quite right. I emailed support, I shouldn't have to go any further then support to get any issues resolved.

Hey guys if you have problems and you dont let anyone know about it, there's not much that can be done for you.

This is the first I've heard of any such problems. If you have issues or you need something, [email protected] will generally get you an answer within a few hours.

You must have missed the part where I've already dealt with tech support. It isn't a problem, it's a "I don't approve of the way your system works and won't be putting my money in it anymore". Of course, if you'd like to release my funds before the 30 days is up, that'd be super.

Epassporte's authorization procedure fucking sucks, think of something better or at least let ppl authorize in the alternative way that you have on your page instead of just not responding to mails and keep telling ppl to call back on your "support" phone.
