Today i returned from a day of fishing out in the boat, sunburnt like a mofo, and not a whole hell of alot of fish to show for it BAR ONE BIG MOTHERFUCKER !!!

What the dog doing???

She was sussing out the fish !! When we normally go fishing we generally travel about 4 hours away to my uncles beach house. They have never really seen a fish before.

She licked and bit its tail after we put it down lol !!

When it first came to the surface near the net, im like HOLY FUCK this thing is twice as wide and long as the net, but i mangined to land it hehe !!

It's been a while since I've gone, I may have to arrange sitting out on the ice over a hole sometime soon.

Better yet, get 4 or 5 of your mates together and fly to australia, and i will organise a fishing weekend !!

That offer goes for anyone too. I have a house that sleeps 8-12 right near hervey bay in queensland, a few boats, and enough fishing gear to sink the titanic.. hehe !!

Haha nah, it aint a catfish..

Its called a Dusky Flathead. Its the biggest one i have ever seen, in real life or on tv. And me and my bro caught it hehe !!

Fishing is great to just go out, relax, smoke up a bit and see if any fish come in :) never actually caught anything worthwhile.

haha.. I meant the fish.. Yeah seaworld werent practising catch and realease the day they caught me hehehehe

I've been known to enjoy the view while fishing.

Big Fish!

Thats a shame. We were almost about to throw that one back. When they get that big they are breeding females, and we were in two minds about whether to keep it or not. But we figured we managed to get a 4.7kg fish into the boat while it was swimming around pilons and under the boat and we deserved to keep it.

A once in a lifetime catch for that type of fish.

... it's a flathead and it has a decent size, but I have to disagree, it's not the best eating fish you can catch, I guess the deckhand told you that ... LOL.

... seriously, at this time of the year you should have gotten yourself some nice whitings and snappers.

... where the hell do you catch flatheads of that size anyway ??

I'm thinking, maybe i should run a fishing trip in Australia.

Have say 8-12 of your americans/canadians/poms fly over and we go fishing for a week. I organise everything food/fishing gear/boats/grog, and you guys just pay me a set amount.

And we go fishing for a week. We can go esturary fishing as well as reef fishing. Could be interesting.

Mate i've been fishing for 20 years, and i have caught everything, and the only thing that is better than fresh caught flathead meat is Mangrove Jack, or a really good feed of whiting fillets, cooked straight after u take a fillet.

Beleive it or not we caught it in the pumicstone passage under the bribie island bridge.

Umm that whale beached itself and was being transported to a research center to be tested and such for research purposes.

I'll be doing some ice fishing as soon as it warms up a little bit :thumbsup
