ibill cb fees going up for those over 2%

sorry if it's already been posted. from the cmi:

Due to the increasing cost of effectively managing chargebacks, InterCept Payment Solutions will initiate a fee change related to chargebacks across ALL card types effective February 1, 2004. The fee change will only affect clients with monthly chargeback ratios in excess of 2% on greater than 25 sale transactions and will result in a $25 fee per chargeback for all chargebacks in the month. Clients with chargeback ratios below 2% will continue to pay the current fee of $15 per chargeback.

We are happy to report that most of our clients are currently well under the chargeback thresholds (Visa - 1% domestic, 2% international; MasterCard - 1% overall). However, InterCept Payment Solutions will continue to offer assistance to clients that are experiencing higher chargeback ratios.

Haha who the fuck would be over 2%?

KC 01-30-2004 02:17 PM

If you're over 2% you're fucked anyway.

freeadultcontent 01-30-2004 02:24 PM

25 transactions, Shit! well if you do 25 sales and get 1 chargeback your still fucked. 10% cb rating on 25 sales is only 2 and a half chargebacks.

Damn people could seriously fuck with others if they wanted too.

i agree, which makes me a little curious as to why they are actually mandating a cb fee increase for those over...

i'd think if there were enough big time clients over 2, ibill would be more worried about the effect they're having on the over all cb ratio.... anyway.

Probably this is applied to those, who're over 2% (VISA Int.) but under 200 cb. I believe in this case Global Merchant Chargeback Monitoring Program isn't applied and you get fines from Ibill.

I have found regulations from Ibill communications which were originally posted on GFY: http://www.awwboard.com/showthread.p...threadid=10216
