Do you have a cell phone with a camera? Everyone will have one soon in Portugal, but do you buy them in the US? It's great for voyeur pics :winkwink:

why i've never even heard of that. we are sooo behind over here in the States:helpme

I know cell phones are not so popular over there... but NEVER heard of cameras in cell phones? Is this real?

A friend of mine has one, we go out and do whatever, he snaps pics, and emails them off so they are waiting for you when you get home.

He's currently writing a php script to grab the emails and put em on his website with text and pics from his phone. Sort of like a mobile blogger.

I have a Nokia 3650. The max resolution is 640*480. It's not bad if you think that it's a phone but I really don't use that much.

Yes I have to ask, because I am in Portugal, so I dont know! Just because you are more advanced doesnt mean you like the same stuff. 5% of the portuguese have credit cards, and 95% (includind children) have cell phones. I am building a website and I need to know if americans are buying large numbers of cell phones with cameras or not. That's why I asked. And I wouldnt be surprised if some of you never heard of it, an ignorant american is not a rare thing.

This is the Nokia 6600, the one I have and the best I've seen so far. It will have a 128M card soon.

I ordered my phone from China or Japan, one of the two. this was about a year ago, they have much better phones in the us now

I am also using a mobile phone with cam (t610). Look at it as a nice feature, but nothing which could really compare to your digital-cam. Not yet ;-) For sending pics from phone to phone, the quality is ok - makes no sense to send big files around anyway. to expensive. It's fun for quick, little snapshots.

btw: if you would like to transfer your pics to your pc (backup, free memory) make sure the phone is supporting this kind of file-transfer, for example with bluetooth. There are some phones around, which have for example bluetooth "on board" but you can't get any of your pics out of the phone without sending them as mms and paying or each pic.

For an extra $7 a month i get unlimited pictures and text messaging.

You can't beat it.

Plus with the data cord i can use it for a modem for my laptop and upload my own midi files for ring tones.

It's an awsome and I highly recommend it.

All peoples here in Scandinavia have cell with a cam. They already sell phones with capacity to record and send video.

In South Corea the phones have to make a sound when a pic is taken.

I'm not actively looking to get a cell phone camera, but if I find a good deal, I'll get one.

sony ericcson p-900 cam is OK... better than the REALLY shitty p-800 cam... but still not as good as the high end nokias.... all mobile phone stuff is blowin up popularity-wise in asia and europe...

Yeah i think too that Nokia own the best Cam phones. But who cares, nobody gonna take the highschool degree or wedding pics with cam phones. Digital cams is best for that. I think mobile cams are best for voyering and quick shots only, and the pic quality doesnt matter then.

correct.... but its always good to have an all in one in case you have a Kodak moment and no cam on you.... even so i use a casio exilim card-sized digi camera and it's AWESOME... and SMALL as fuck....

only bring with me when i know there will be a kodak moment i want in high quality with hella storage or a nice mpeg made..

I bought one when I renewed my contact because that about all they have these days. I went ahead and paid extra for the picture e-mail/Internet package...like $20 a month unlimited e-mail, news, web browsing, instant messaging, and pictures.

Didn't use it once in 2 months so I canceled it. Waste of money. Only thing I use my phone for it talking.

I agree, best cam is always that, what you have with you when you need to take pic :thumbsup
