Which is best - Good Guy or Bad Guy SEO
Google is still dancing - it?s like Florida revisited. Ethical SEO or not ? what works?
I?m still seeing my sites bounce around on SERPs. My sites may enjoy a few hours of decent placement and then back to page 7 or 30. I haven?t seen this since the Florida project, which was great, because I won somewhat and got more traffic. I?ve tried to stick to the ethical SEO and decided to avoid use of refer-bomb and cloaker programs, thinking that in the end the unethical SEO would put those sites off the list. How long would it take to recover? So the question is, which way do you go on SEO ? good guy or bad guy?
What optimization works for one webmaster may not work for another. That lends support to the theories that Google uses different algorithms for different categories of sites or different keywords. Many have talked about the ?cash? words. Google has created a ton of confusion with this dance. Why would I be a PR5 yesterday and a PR4 today? I did nothing but add content! PR doesn?t mean shit anyway; it?s keyword placement that counts.
It doesn?t take much to look through the backlinks of those in front of me on a keyword to see if they?re using a referbomb. So if I can figure it out, Google can certainly write the code to do the same. They can also detect proxy hits on Google and determine who the beneficiaries are. I got it, referbomb your competitors!!
So after this dance is over and I look at the sites in front of me and see referbomb evidence, do I or don?t I?
