seguru.net show that they have PR9 and PR8 expiring domains

On their front page http://www.seguru.net
says "Todays Expiring Domains:"

PR9 = 1
PR8 = 2

Is this true, or is this a trick to get webmasters to signup ?

pradaboy 01-30-2004 11:26 AM

I would like to know too... I heard SEGuru is a pretty solid guy but I dunno about this

arg 01-30-2004 11:35 AM

I've read a fair amount of praise for SE Guru, a few "you're too full of yourself" kinda criticisms, but never any scam alerts. I'm signing up right now, let you know what I find in a bit.

i like deleteddomains. thumbsonly.com got deleted today.

Claims seem basically true as advertised. Note that by "domains expiring today," he seems to mean names whose expiration dates are today or earlier, but which have not yet dropped. The PR9 in this case expired Jan 29, the PR8s expired Jan 4 and Jan 13. All three are in status REDEMPTIONPERIOD during which the owners can salvage them. Once they go into PENDINGDELETE, they'll be released in about five days.

So how does it work from here: you go pay for snapnames or something to get in line for those domains with all 1000 other subscribers to the service?

or is it an auction?

or is it internal tools that come with the $99 so you don't have to pay for snapnames?

Ignorant fucks like me wanna know!

I believe the service is purely to list drops sorted by PR. I never signed up cause I do that for free.

SEGuru 01-30-2004 12:08 PM

Well,

Guys...to be honest...I've been on the road for a couple weeks and working from a StarBucks.
Someone just pointed me at this thread...

I logged in to confirm these domains...there does indeed seem to be a PR9 and 2 PR8's that show to be dropping.

These are real domains guys, and most other systems see them too.
Its about the research tools used to mine them and them track and snap them.
That's what it's all about. May I also recommend, when seeking high PR domains that are expired, make sure their link pop is founded on more than just Google backlinks and has a nice overall link pop.

Snapnames takes only 1 oder per domain.
So if 1 person order the domain from snapnames then they will try to snap it only for him.

Deal is to try and do as complete valuation of the domain prior to purchase to ensure the domain will be of value to you in the future.

We do not SNAP the domains, we provide a service to help you find the most valuable domains, track them, etc.

So our service is comprehensive in how it looks at domains for bulk PR sorting and allowing you time to properly track a drop based on its value in advance of the drop. :thumbsup

its funny how everytime I make a thread about PR everyone comes in like smartass and say it doesn't matter. Then I see threads like this one of a service everyone talks about that helps you find a PR8-9 Domain.

is PR usefull or not?

if not why are people paying almost $100 to spot High PR domains on seguru?

PR does matter. Some GFYers realize it, others don't. It isn't everything. It's just part of the equation and not the only factor. A service like this one (or mine) help you identify the names you may want to catch in a drop. If you know what to do with the names, you realize how valuable it is. If you don't, you still have to figure that part out first. Otherwise, you're wasting your time and money. Once you get it, you understand that it's worth well more than $100 for it.

just because the name is dropping doesn't mean you will be able to register it :)
