It's not really down, it runs out of memory/space if there are too many results. Try been more specific about what you're looking for.

The GFY search option 'goes down' about every other time i search.

Just try again (but not too soon ... only one search allowed every 45 seconds) ...

GFY search has actually always worked when i've tried to use it

Narrow your search by date etc...:thumbsup

In short spells I'm getting page can't be found error about every other page at GFY this morning... search, reply, the confirmation screen after a reply... but had the same thing happening earlier at another forum not webmaster related (with much lower traffic) so I am guessing that that hurricane MyDoom is blowing through:glugglug
