It's probably just using your domain as a return address, so people this it was you sending it even though it wasn't.

Jimbo, it's likely that your PC is fine. The virus uses spoofed email addresses that it finds on the infected computer. It even grabs them from the cache. Now that I've got my email set to decline zip files, I'm not seeing much of the virus mails, but what I'm getting is like you.. email saying my email address sent the virus to someone.

Not really. Generally speaking, virus writers aren't among the brightest of coders. They like to show off to their little cracker "friends". The guy that did this will probably get ratted out by one of those.

A reclusive and anti-social hacker, on the other hand, could do hundreds of millions of damage with only a very slight chance of getting caught. Now that would be a fun hunt :Graucho
