Three years is a very long time, it wasn't clear why it'd take so long. The whole thing was messed up, including the police asking the children those questions.

to answer your question, the prosecution presented their evidence to the grand jury, the grand jury decided based upon this that it could go to trial. at a grand jury hearing, my understanding the defendent's position is not even presented or present (though apparently in Kobe's trial that's not the case, can't reconcile the differences).

So for those three years, the defense was able to better understand how and why the police got their info. They presented to the judge that this evidence should not be allowed. The judge agreed this evidence shouldn't be allowed, which was basically all the evidence. So at this point, having three years elapse, the prosecution had to drop their case due to lack of evidence.

With the (intended) nasty side-effect of screwing this guy's business and life up by using the law as a bludgeon to beat down someone who doesn't pray to the same god, or thinks that 'down there' isn't a dirty place to be avoided.

The really obnoxious part of it all is that it's fairly obvious someone was doing this to make this guy's life miserable, but because of back-scratching and plausable deniability nothing will ever be done about it. In the end, the bad guys won... pronner leaves town, no reprocussions for the bible brigade.

Someone needs to develop a redneck bomb. Something that leaves normal people standing, but melts the skin off the ultraconservative, the bigotted, and the ignorant-and-proud types. London is always worth visiting.

Paris is, all in all, made for French people. I've been there 4 times and I speak French - but I've never really understood what all the hype was about.

Rome is wonderful.

Prague, I've been told, is very nice.

Budapest - well, I don't know. Saint Petersburg may be nicer.

me neither, first saw Rome and afterwards Paris had nothing to impress me with + the typical movie Paris spots are hard to find, where to find them then, easy in Prague

my favorite city and thanks to Ryanair, it costs me $50 a visit for 2 flights and a bed for 2 nights
