Where can I get some NICE poker chips?

The sets on Ebay for a couple hundred bucks that come with aluminum or oak cases are okay, but I was thinking something more professional or even custom.

Anyone have any suggestions?

They'll probably just collect dust in my closet since I have no friends...but I'd like to have a set on hand in case I start throwing some local tourneys here in Indianapolis.

just get real casino chips dollar for dollar, that way at least if you never play you can go back and cash em in.

Haha. Unless they retire the design on me.

Can you even walk out of a casino with a bucket of chips? I've never tried.

Neither have I, but then again I have gone to my room with a crap load, or stuffed a ton in my pocket while I went and ate.

Ha ha.. I JUST bought 1000 clays and aluminum case from Finetti in Vegas..

We just started holding poker tournements in the lobby of Casa de Big E.. about 15-20 people - good times. I took those fools for $340 in the inagural.

I purchased personalized clay chips from this company.

They once messed up 100 chips and then sent me 100 corrected chips. Their chips are EXCELLENT!

Why not just use real money?

ulfie 01-30-2004 07:38 AM

Does having your own chips somehow make losing at poker less painful?

Carrie 01-30-2004 07:43 AM

Naah but it makes it look cooler than a pile of pennies or bills in the middle of the table. Easier for everyone to be able to instantly see what the pot is, too (or what you're betting).

I buddy of mine picked up a decent set at Target for $39.99, Heavier than Plastic, might be Clay, not sure really. They were nice and heavy.
