I wouldn't mind knowing this either. Any info would be good.

Seems to be a lot of people like Netbilling can only setup you up with foriegn merchant accounts if you push $100,000 US a month which is complete bullshit. I'm sure they can be setup with very little minimum, anyone know any more info on how to do this?

Hi,

This is not a requirement of ours, but of the banks itself. Many of them do not want to handle smaller adult merchants unfortunately. We are working on other solutions and should have something within a week. Meanwhile, we can setup check processing for anyone at 3.35% and 40 cents per transaction.

Mitch

p.s. There are some setting up smaller merchants offshore but these are usually not with their own merchant account, but through an aggregator.

Could you discribe what you mean by Aggregators? They ask you to register a business in the country and then apply for a merchant account right? What does this aggregator do exactly?

I have a good line on merchant accounts. Just shoot me an e-mail validusg (attty) hotmail (diit) com. No, LOL not 100,000 per month :)

Just for your information you can't get a EU merchant account.
You can get a merchant account in one of the countries within EU and there is a big difference between the countries.

I have investigated this myself and have never heard of any transaction limits... only "offshore-heaven" and "tax-hideaway" businesses have this kind of transaction limits.

Try Interpay in the Netherlands, very adult friendly and a 1.5 %chargeback ratio. Only downside is that you need to incorp in Holland.

The best people to talk to are your bank or Visa themselves. I use to have one in the UK, it was easy to set up for mail order.

Tried to set one up here and had problems with the bank regarding what we were selling.

Or you e-mail me... LOL :) That would also work to get a merchant account.

Hi,

Mahy times someone will acquire a merchant account and then setup sub merchants underneath it, like a registered IPSP. This is not recommended. If you are going to have your own merchant account, great! If not, go with a known IPSP.

Thank you, Mitch Farber

I thought netbilling was having problems with card services international. More specically, that csi put all high risk merchant account applications on hold until further notice. That's what I was told by a "Merchant Account Specialist" the day my check arrived to net billing via cert mail.
Can you shed any light on this?
Thanks
DS

We set up merchant accounts in the EU, foreign incorporation is needed, and we help with that, also.

It is true about the high volumes banks want. It's possible to get an account with a lower volume, but you won't get the same rates.

Our main bank for Adult is in the EU, and we also will be going online with a couple LAC banks soon.
