How often should you change your shaving blades?
 

I was never told by anyone how often blades should be changed.
Going to pick up some razors tommorrow. But how can I tell if the ones I am using now are stil good?

Using the Mach 3 Turbos atm.

Well depends how close of a shave you want, some people do it alot more then others. I would say if you shave every day then probably every 2 weeks or so.

2 to 4 weeks.

Change them once you start getting more than average knicks. That means they've lost their edge and need to be replaced with new blades.

I use the same blade. I change it every 6-8 shaves.

I would say - - - if you use more than 3 bandaids after you shave, might be a good time to change them.

Speaking of blades, I just bought the new Schick "Quattro" that has been advertised on TV - 4 blades. That is a nice shave fellas' -

Hmm, thought they should last longer...
Does the stupid blue strip at the top of the blade mean anything?
Cause on toothbrushes I know that once the blue thing starts fading you should replace.

Mach 3 is plenty good enough. What's next, 5 blades? 8?


I change em out every 2-3 weeks, but I don't shave every single day. If I did I'd change them more often. If you're getting knicks you need to be shown how to shave.

I think they want you to change your blade when the colour coating on the blade dissapears but I usually have a couple more shaves after that then switch it up, or use it to shave my balls ;)

Great razor...been using them for a few years now. About every 3 weeks, usually.

I would say, immediately after you catch BradShaw using your razor to shave his ass, it's time for new blades :D

It's been over a year and my razor's still sharp.

Everytime I shave, I use new blades :)

hmm... depends on how often you use it...
would say at least once a month or: as soon as it cuts more of your skin than of your hair ;-)

atleast every other week. dull blades give you razor burn - OUCH!

once every 2 months....but I don't shave that often, only once a week
