What makes you sign up for an affiliate program?

What does the site have to offer to make you push the site?

J-Reel 01-28-2004 10:13 PM

Good content :thumbsup

Justfuckedmyself 01-28-2004 10:17 PM

Ok...that is pretty general...Until you actually JOIN a site, how do you know they have good content?

AlienQ - BANNED FOR LIFE 01-28-2004 10:23 PM

Fuck that.

How about knowing the program owner face to face...

You idiots...

thekebie 01-28-2004 10:25 PM

If I feel like I would join the sites then I would think a lot of other people would also.

You can ask the program owner for a temporary password to check out their sites. Most will hook you up.

jscott 01-28-2004 10:26 PM

1. good reputation
2. good promo materials (content, hosted & downloadable galleries)
3. good looking tours & sites
4. niche sites available

JunkyardDog 01-28-2004 10:40 PM

good content, great customer service, and a rep that is very helpfull when I need them to be.

I prefer sites that take care of their customers and not just trying to bleed them for every cent.

Yup that sums it up for me.

Heywood Jablome 01-29-2004 12:45 AM

The hosted galleries MUST look great. If they can't put together nice galleries to sell their site with, they're wasting everybody's time.

No console tour options are very important to me, even when the payout is less $.

Also, I'm a sucker for CCBill sites - it is way sooo easy to push one button & be signed up for a program.

pornkitten 01-29-2004 01:00 AM

payout for free tours is always nice, high payout, great site, no console etc

when you fucked yourself was it good?

myjah 01-29-2004 02:24 AM

reputation is very important. doesn't matter how good the site is if the people behind it aren't trustworthy.

V_RocKs 01-29-2004 02:33 AM

Quality content and hosted galleries.

finlo 01-29-2004 02:34 AM

good rep and good content

[Brian] 01-29-2004 02:35 AM

How big their dicks are...

PersianKitty 01-29-2004 02:36 AM

A wide variety of sites.

Good promo material with more added regularly (I can't believe the programs that go months and months with no new banners).

Flexible programs.

In depth statistics.

You promote like 8,000 sponsors, how do you have time to dig through detailed stats on all of them? :)

SBJ 01-29-2004 02:43 AM

if I get hard when I look at the site I'll sign up to promote it for sure..

Mainly I like good support from the site's owners

CCbill a must unless the site is so amazing that I know I'd make money like Lightspeed and Joinrightnow

haha.. no where near 8,000. I get asked to try out alot of programs. Detailed stats allows me to decide if it's something to stay with for the long run. Analysis by site, banner type, placement, etc are all a great help.

Once I do stick with them.. there's Statsremote!

laura99 01-29-2004 03:23 AM

Content is usually what I start with.

pradaboy 01-29-2004 04:13 AM

content, reputation, word of mouth...

I always chat with the reps first before signing up :2 cents:

Cash 01-29-2004 04:16 AM

Lately, if they pay via epassporte.

Part-timer 01-29-2004 05:06 AM

Popup + console free tours, especially in pay per Email programs.

body 01-29-2004 05:12 AM

The most important thing is to have more than 1k posts on GFY otherwise nobody will talk with you, Brand0n Rule #1

more is coming soon...

RRRED 01-29-2004 11:26 PM

farting banners

Slick 01-29-2004 11:31 PM

I agree with the others on the GREAT hosted galleries, on that subject, you should list them openly and NOT hide them behind an affiliate logon screen, I hate when sponsors do that. I like to see the galleries first. If I have to waste my time signing up for an account, only to log on and see crappy galleries, I'm just wasting my time and the sponsor's time of having a new account in their database that's never gonna be used.

Secondly, the site's tour. If I look at a tour and think that it sucks, chances are that the surfers that I send to that site are gonna think that way. I like the new way of tours like Nasty Dollars and Bang Bros have where it scrolls down and shows different pics of each series, fuck the 2-3 pages of collaged images.

Except for those suckers that don't put up the "enter existing data" signup link:(

I agree with you on the quality hosted galleries and console-free options. They are a must for my sites I want bookmarked.
