Are the sig rules officially Gone ?
 

I have noticed everyones sigs getting bigger and bigger lately, Are the rules officially scrapped ?

Most people are using full banners now for non gfy promoted programs , or oversized buttons with multiple lines of text.

Even adult.com buttons are a strange size.

Can we get an official response as to the NEW rules if there are any.

On a side note. I have noticed quite a few people selling sigs in their sig . Is this ok to do ?

Oversized text ok ?

Colored links ok ?

Tables ok ?


Personally i think you should just make a max size of space not banners or buttons. And let people do as they wish in the sigs along as it isnt slanderous or illegal.

I always like a variety and i dont mind seeing the flashy sigs, but i think there should be a limit to your sig size on a default size setting ( 800x600 )

Anyways just my :2 cents: now that sigs are being sold for so much i think its only fair the sigs fit the rules. Not only to the sig buyers but also to the sig sellers and everyone else.

I've got sigs turned off, they all look fine to me...

120x60 is the rule but I rarely see that.

I know , thats what i mean. So if im a program that isnt buying a GFY top adspot and i follow the rules i can only buy sigs from people and use small buttons , but if i cheat like everyone else i can use a banner :) Thats where the confusion comes in. It would be nice to see some clarity.

It doesnt have to be LOTS of rules just a very simple one.

what about sigs that are centred with text that is actually the size of a big banner?

I have noticed alot of that too. Right now thr rules state you cant even change the size or color of the text. Thats a bit too much, but this text size = 9 is a bit much..

Thats why i think he should just go with a basic size limit for total space taken up. Anything you want to fit inside is ok.

I think they are still here..couse my sig was deleted before 2 weeks couse it was big,then i put the smaller..

Its still too big but i wouldnt worry about it.

I really hate the great big ones that take up twice the size of the screen!
