I here it can be reversed pretty easilly if you drop 5k. The operation itself is only a 10 dollar co-pay on my insurance.

After my brother was born, my dad had it done. Two kids was enough for him, he has never considered reversing it.

I have had a vasectomy and do not regret the decison but that was after having children. The microsurgery to reverse one is major and does not always work.

Just the thought of it makes me faint.

I don't think that I could ever go through with it. After me and my wifey had 3 kids, she got her tubes tied, it was much easier to do since she had to get a C-section and they already had her open.

I had one about a year or 2 ago. There was a little swelling after the procedure, but not enough to take the pain pills.

My hub did it almost ten years ago by his choice. he did not want me on the pill..

Bascially, if you lay in bed for a couple of days and don't lift anything, you should be just fine. :)

Getting that surgery is very nice way of letting your woman know how much you really love her and her health . It's a very selfless act . :)

No change at all in sex drive.
I was scared to death the day I went to have it done. It was one of the few times in my life where I really really thought a drink was needed, but I was afraid they wouldn't do it if I showd up smelling like a drunk. The nurse who assisted the dr. in the procedure was cute as hell and it took all my self-discipline not to offer to let her try it out.

BTW--you have 5 years to get it reversed. Every year that goes by the odds of reversing it are worse--after 5 years I believe it is almost impossible..

BTW2--make sure you test it after the operation. You have to wack 3 times all 1 week after another to make sure no fishes are still swimming..

My mom was one of 21 kids (all individual births, same mother/father) and my dad was one of 7 children; so once my ex and I had a girl followed two years later by a boy, I went to the Army hospital and got snipped. Interestingly, as I was driving home after the procedure, I noticed a LOT of folks attending a noontime service at the chapel---bottom line, I got snipped on the Catholic Feast-day of the Immaculate Conception. This was on Dec 8, 1969 (probably well before some of you were even born!)

Mine was done approx 35 years ago; though the doctor warned me that I'd lose 3-5% of my cum, I've not noticed any loss of anything. Men are a bunch of pussies when it comes to pain. We women go through so much pain with cramps, and yearly visits to the crotch doctor, and I don't even want to know what it feels like to have a kid. I wish my man would go get it done but he's a super wimp, he doesn't even like seeing me with IV's in my arm. He would rather pay the extra to have my tubes tied. The only thing stopping me from that is all the bad things I've heard about it, hormone problems, depression, etc. I don't need more hormones LOL.

Waaaaaa. 3 days versus 18 years. I would happily go with the 3 days to not have to deal with all that bullshit. I've had back, neck, shoulder, knee and foot surgery. I know what pain is, I deal with it on a daily basis. If you don't want kids you should go have it done or suffer the consequences.

I had an ex-girlfriend get the Copper IUD, which uses no hormones (no side effects!) and is just as effective as sterilization.
