How do you get 8k return on a sig?

they dont get that much, there is a mutual understanding with supposed "thousand dollar sigs" (which im sure some are) sponsor says they are gonna pay thousands for free marketing and the gfy poster looks like he must know wat he is doing because people are throwing money at that person.

If I had to guess, it's because people want to show off their big swinging dicks by making outrageous purchases.

imagine all the buzz this single day has stirred up. for those buying sigs, especially for higher prices. no doubt icq's and other messengers and emails have been passing around and people talking about it all over the place. this hype and excitement and conversation is insanely more valuable than a banner spot.

Duh... Do you pay more attention to what is written inside the thread and all the replies or to the header of the forum (where you have ROTATING BANNERS)??

People usually don't even see the advertise load on the top of the forum, while you almost everytime see the banner in someone's else sig....

i never look at the top banners

Actually if it farts or calls me a dirty cock holster while im on the phone I pay it alot of attention.

I don't know about you.... but I look at threads and posts more than I look at the banners at the top.

Sure, I see them... check them out occassionally... but I see hundreds of posts every day.

Therefore... my eyes will go over many many sigs more than they will ever go over the banners at the top.

Which do you figure that gives more value to?

Well... I'll just say it then: I come here almost every day and I know for a fact that I've clicked more on banners on sigs than on the ones on the top of the forum...

And I think that most of people do the same....

If no money could be made out of sigs, nobody would buy them... Lot's of sponsors are paying for sigs for a long time now... Just ask around....

I personally don't see these high prices lasting more than 3 to 6 more months...If that. I still expect that sigs will sell but the value will almost surely fall out of them soon. :2 cents:

I think they'll remain high when someone has something to launch or promote.

I'm selling my sig this time to see how it goes but I do usually make good money from it....not thousands but I think sigs are worthwhile if the user is posting and not an idiot about everything
