It's more the smell than the taste.

I think it's a mind thing also because I expect it to taste like "milk".

Vitasoy 01-27-2004 08:37 PM

My nick says it all :glugglug

integrated 01-27-2004 08:38 PM

Is there a big difference in the sweetened vs. the regular?

I've tried plain and vanilla. Vanilla didn't help much.

hmmm,

Vitasoy brand soy milk and soy beverages offer great health benefits with great
taste, made from whole organic soybeans - a healthy dairy milk alternative.

Quotealex 01-27-2004 08:44 PM

I've been drinking soy milk (natural) since I was practically born. Cereal taste better with it than cow milk which smell awfull IMHO.

Smiley 01-27-2004 08:45 PM

its not so bad, you do have to "trick" your mind at first, but if its that bad, use it in cereal or coffee....its like tofu to me, add it to something and it tasted just fine.....

Will do that. Weird b/c if I add flavoring (syrups) to it, it still smells nasty. :(

powerbubba 01-27-2004 08:47 PM

we bought rice milk the other day, actually pretty good and sweet

B40 01-27-2004 08:59 PM

I drink it by choice...it's good for you I guess....gives you lots of gas though

Snowman 01-27-2004 08:59 PM

Yep, All you Soy milk drinkers line up

It's time to get your genitals kicked

gornyhuy 01-27-2004 09:00 PM

My dad does for a bunch of health reasons so when I go over there I'll have a "half and half" for dinner: half milk/half "silk" and it tastes pretty fucking good. Like an old fashioned Malt drink.

hyper 01-27-2004 10:03 PM

drink Silk brand soymilk, its the best tasting
u can always add chocolate or strawberry syrup to it
when baking with soymilk, dilute it 2 to 1 with water
2 parts soymilk 1 part water

- Jesus Christ - 01-27-2004 10:05 PM

use it on cerial, can't drink it straight.

Pornwolf 01-27-2004 10:11 PM

I get violent gas when I drink that stuff. It makes the gas I get when I drink milk seem like nothing.

I wish it were that easy. :)

Tofu is no problem for me.

Thanks for sharing.

dailyduke 01-27-2004 10:16 PM

soy milk all the way
chocolate is oh so good, vanilla in the protien shakes and Omega 3 for cooking

hottoddy 01-27-2004 10:19 PM

Health nuts are killing themselves by gorging on soy products and don't even know it. The soybean itself is fairly harmless, but the derivative products are so high in chemicals and hormones (Phytoestrogens for one) that they are being cited for a growing number of ailments (hormone imbalances, child development, cancer, thyroid, etc). Even 20/20 has done a story on the dangers of soy.

Talk to a hardcore vegan - they will tell you how milk is harmful. :)

BTW, snowmen don't have legs last I checked.

pornkitten 01-27-2004 11:24 PM

drink alcohol instead it tastes better and more fun, then call allyour friends have a party and invite me

hottoddy 01-28-2004 12:22 AM

Male soy milk drinkers should at least regularly check their nutsacks for shrinkage, and ladies should check for clit enlargement.

Fletch XXX 01-28-2004 12:23 AM

ever eat tofurkey?

even got hates vegans.

GonePhishing 01-28-2004 12:23 AM

I drink some so milk every once in a while. I like the chilled and sweetened soy milk you can get at Chinatown or an Asian market.

DreamCumTrue 01-28-2004 12:24 AM

Have you tried Rice Dream? I personally prefer it to milk. My doctor told me to stop eating dairy a few years ago, and that's what he recommended instead of milk.

Pornwolf 01-28-2004 12:24 AM

What... like you guys have never had violent gas before. You know, the kind that feels like hot wet shit is just a sphincter squeeze away if you don't catch it in time.

arg 01-28-2004 12:34 AM

I'm allergic to casseinate, a protein that's common in cow's milk. I mostly get by without milk. Sometimes when I have a cereal craving I'll get soy milk, rice milk, or a little goat's milk, but all are a bit weird compared to what I'm used to from having grown up drinking cow's milk. Drinking it straight from a glass, any of the above are improved with chocolate syrup, imho, as it masks the taste and textural differences.

And pornwolf, you aren't alone, people just like to pretend they never fart. :)

Fletch XXX 01-28-2004 12:45 AM

heres your fucking soy milk./

L0stMind 01-28-2004 02:38 AM

I drink soy occassionally :)

I like the taste, but its a bit heavy for me, so I dont drink it often.

Not a big milk fan either.

I use un-sweetened (no sugar) vanilla soy milk.
It does take some getting used to..but I went from whole milk to 2% and that took some time to get used to..
then from 2% to non-fat..more time..and then to soy milk.

I find it goes very well with cereal and even great for people who like coffee drinks like mochas! (Which I LOVE with soymilk!)

Go back to your kindergarten and leave the grown-ups alone.

...

I drink soy milk too - normally vanilla but sometimes chocolate which is mighty good.

I like the chalky taste of soy milk and it's healthy too.

Kicker 01-28-2004 02:47 AM

no way:ak47:

shermo 01-28-2004 02:49 AM

I love Soy milk. I use it in everything I cook that requires milk, it's great in cereal and it's not bad in coffee when using vanilla.

I've never drank milk straight anyway, so it wasn't hard to switch over to the good side. :1orglaugh

VeriSexy 01-28-2004 02:50 AM

I rather drink soy milk than normal cow milk anyday :glugglug

laura99 01-28-2004 02:50 AM

I used to drink it but now I've moved on to the low carb milk. Tastes a lot like it. Takes some time to get used to but now I love it.

q00p 01-28-2004 02:54 AM

Whn the man milk isn't handy, I reach for the vanilla soy milk :thumbsup
Tastes great on corn flakes too..
