Webalizer Stats
 

In my cpanel 8 I have webalizer, is this acurate? This dude I host was getting 10,000 unique (so said webalizer) and it seemed way to much. Is this a shitty counter?

unique is not what you think. Try google cuz I AINT SPLAININ IT!

webalizer shows a bunch of pointless shit. but they do have some pretty pie charts at the bottom

yeah . .the webalizer numbers dont mean what you'd think . . if you look at VISITS it is way more accurate . .

Awstats looks a lot better.

Webalizer is venerable and outdated, but for some reason I keep on using it.

I'm just comfortable with the look, been using it since the beginning of time :1orglaugh

my last server had flashstats.. man I miss them, they were really good

it shows uniques, seems pretty accurate to me

it shows total uniques across your domain.
so as i've seen a lot of webmasters do for lack of $ for a seperate domain or whatever, http://somepornsite.com and they'll have http://somepornsite.com/tgp/ as a seperate site, webalyzer will show the total uniques or "visitors" b/w the two sites, thus making the stats unreliable. If you have one site tho, it's generally a good way to keep track.:2 cents:

ahhhh, ok.
I dont use it much, thought it might be good to check out once in a while, but I wont cause when I sell off hosting I let people use subdomains of any of my domains.

It's not the best stat program, but it is one of the fastest.

You just have to read what those numbers really mean.
