"Castaway" was an abomination. And "Forrest Gump", well I'm not even going to go there.

Thought both were great.

You poor bitter man. Castaway was an interesting film, although not great. Forrest Gump was fabulously entertaining and only years after it was released did people start to shit all over it. Just because a movie is a commercial success doesn't mean it sucks.

Tom Hanks is a damn fine actor and his movies range from ok to great. Not a real stinker in the lot.

I think Saving Private Ryan has to be my favourite, not the "alternative version" which I have heard about.
