Myanmar (also called Burma) is located in Southeastern Asia, bordering the Bay of Bengal, with India on the west and China on the east. It covers an area slightly smaller than Texas.

The reason why I knew where Burma was, was I used to be good friends with someone from Burma.

The burmese are not into making very good desserts. They are more of a main dish people. Quite honestly I don't care for their desserts. My mom when growing up rarely made dessert :winkwink:

I am orginally from Burkina Faso. When I was a child, the people of my village entrusted unto me the responsibility of Keeper of the Sacred Goat, Khirumbhaba. Alas, many months passed without rain and I threatened the dumb animal with a large rock. Ok, I actually did more than threaten it -- I beat it soundly about the head and face with a stone large enough to crush a kangaroo rat. Unfortunately, I dislodged one of the creature's eyes from its socket and I was forced to leave in disgrace.

Now I am an adult webmaster in the United States.

not sure, in all honesty it was so cold that night we just ran in and ran out without paying much attention to anyone other than our waitress.

Too much rose water and tapioca in the desserts was the problem and I am not a fan of either but the main dishes were excellent. I found them to be close to what those in the UK would classify as Indian food but different enough. For example, there is a dish that was pretty much a samosa with a different name. Good stuff :)

yeah I hear you about the rose water stuff. Its definitely will over power any dessert. But, I will definitely tell my sister in law you enjoyed her food. I am in Virginia and lot of people from down here drive up to philly just to go to their resturant. I personally have never been but, my dad, sisters etc all go up there and she is so nice she never charges them to eat :)
