That fucking email virus is blowing up
 

I'm already starting to see tons of that shit in one of my inboxes tonight at every interval my mail is checked.

what to look for?

I havent seen anything yet, but have gotten some mails returned from a few people I was trying to send to, something weird has seemed to be up with mail today but not sure if it has something to do with this or not.

on my end I am ok, but am wondering what to look for.

It's annoying that I'm getting so many but I'm on all macs so it can't hurt me. But here's an article about it what they know so far.

I have been saying this for hours; why don't you people have server side mail filters?

I only have one account getting hit and it's one that's not on my own server but someone that I am partnered with.

I'm getting spams from webmasters with files attached.

I only check my mail on one machine here.

I have it set up to check random accounts every hour, I just shut it down, I havernt seen anything out of the ordinary, but no need to have it checking multiple domains while this is going on.

what is this new one? i got 5 in 1 hour.

Getting it on two email accounts..about 350 an hour on each.. and now on top of that I'm getting all the nasty email returns from ISPs that have blocked the ones that are going out with my email addy spoofed.

I have one. It would be great if the world worked like that. Unfortunately, MAC virus makers aren't as popular as MS virus makers.

I think the problem is that time is wasted downloading all this junk; I hope not many around here actually open the attachments.

I am getting a ton of these. They all have titles like "hello" "test" or those fake "returned" - with an attachment and all about 30k - real easy to spot.

This was a great program for the sobig. Hopefully they'll come up with something for this virus. :(

I just hate getting so many but it doesn't affect my mac so I'm not worried. The pain in the ass part of it is downloading 20 200k files at every 10 minute email check my mail program does.

I got this on one of my domains.

I thought someone had spammed with my Email as return due to all the return notices.

i keep getting that shit in mail inbox every 5 minutes.:(

2830 of them this morning on socal-coeds.com.....its ridiculous.

I'm not worried about catching the virus, I'd never open the attachment, the problem is trying to find all my real mail mixed in with all this shit :feels-hot

Good way to block these server side? We have created rules etc which kill about 90% of them but still getting 20 or so every 10 minutes. Really annoying.

im getting fucking slammed by like 50-100 every 20 minutes

i am getting about 300-500 an hour right now, just called my host and told him to block all emails that were not directly address to the primary accounts....seems to have slowed it down a little

that is why I have my filters set to delete emails over 40k
