Major sponsors on the Visa watch list

NetRodent posted some info so I did some checking to see what came up. If the tell is ISPS * SITE vs SITE * ISPS on the billing indicator.

Sponsors that seem ok:
PlatinumBucks, TopBucks, SilverCash, Python, Pornkings, Flashcash, MaxCash
examples:
PAYCOM.NET *WBSITE (pornkings)
PAYCOM.NET *LYDATA (Python)
CCBill.com *Offendale Co (MaxCash)

Sponsors that may not be:
CEN, ARS, WEG
NETMGT *PAYCOM.NET (CEN)
ASKCS.COM *IBILL (ARS)
WEG*Jetchrg.com (WEG)

What does this mean exactly ? If this is an accurate indicator of trouble or anything, what can be done to lower the overall CB ratio ? How much time is given to work in improving this ?

BradShaw 01-26-2004 10:09 PM

I do not think this is accurate. Also not sure billing descriptors have been changed yet for all offenders.

Thanks for clarifying.

If you don't mind, what about the other questions ? Do you have any ideas on what can be done to help improve this situation at this stage ?

BradShaw 01-26-2004 10:17 PM

I have asked for an exact copy of the rules several times. Never got a stright up answer. From what I understand, you are on "warning" for 3 months, then you start getting fined, if after 3 more months (total of 6) you are not under 1%, you are done.

Everyone that is over 1% knows why they are over 1%. Buying too many crosses, or deceptive billing in 99% of the cases I bet. It takes months to turn the tide and get under 1%, took us 3 + months to recover from buying cross sells.

Intresting..but speculation

makefuckingmoney 01-26-2004 10:22 PM

I dont think that is accurate with the billing descriptors..

I heard a lot of peeps are in trouble with this..

xxxdesign-net 01-26-2004 11:55 PM

is any sponsors here actually over the 1% ?

ElvisManson 01-26-2004 11:57 PM

without saying exactly where our percentage is..I can tell you that we are well under the 1% threshold and will remain there.

No cross sales, accurate customer support (never rely on the shitty aggregator's suppor), and no deceptive billing and it's easy to be less than 1%.

I used to have major problems, but it was a result of relying on a 3rd party processor to handle support, as if they can do anything other than say 'would you like a refund'?

I don't understand why people still use them.. they're such a fucking waste. I only use them for recurring/sending enough sales to let the recurs trickle out w/o driving up ratio..

Donnie, are you using your own merchant account(s) ? Who did you get them through ?

AlienQ - BANNED FOR LIFE 01-27-2004 12:51 AM

1 to 5 dollar programs Brujah is one way.
Another way I think will be to eliminate cross sales.

Yet the faithful Keep a quality site for an affordable price theory is still the strong theory.
