Act now! I will sale my bleeding ulcer.
My doctor will see YOUR affilate program plastered across the outer rim of my ulcer for fiddy five CENT!

Heather Hamptons 01-26-2004 06:06 PM

My fiance suffers form that. Its not really something that typically goes away but its been known to happen though.

He has to take Nexium to help. Alcohol isnt good, nor is citrus. It just makes it worse.

I know by being with him that it is very uncomfortable to be that way. I do hope you arent feeling to awful and that your one of the lucky few that can beat it :)

I can beat it. Guess I'm done with smoking now for one thing. I just hope it's not an ulcer caused by bacteria because I don't do doctors. If I don't see a change soon I suppose I'll have to have someone drag me in so I can get antibiotics. Until then, gotta get healthy. ;)

LadyMischief 01-26-2004 06:10 PM

Depends on the cause of the ulcer. Definitely see a doctor. Some are induced by bacteria, some are stress-induced etc. The cause is a huge factor in healing time. Some actually require surgery.

Heather Hamptons 01-26-2004 06:12 PM

You've always been a sweety to me Stock! If I lived near you Id beat you over the head and drag you in.....but only cause I love ya lol

You really need to get taken care of though. Ok so I dont have much room to talk either. Im supposed to go for biopsy's every 3 months but thats me. Im a big baby. Your a big toughy. You can take it :) Hell yours is easier. They just give you meds!

twistyneck 01-26-2004 06:12 PM

It is probably stomach cancer. Hope you have your affairs in order.

now thats not a nice remark, somebody please twist his neck

Yep, more than once. And it was not pleasant. Endoscopy plus meds stopped the bleeding, but it took about 6 weeks for everything to completely heal. But it happened a few times.

Read more about the Kefir in here: http://www.kefir.net/

Has helped many, many people with serious digestive problems.

Best of luck.

Yeah, I've done some research trust me. I've come to the conclusion that in my particular case it's from taking NSAIDs. Gonna stop taking this damn advil, quit smoking, more water, and all that jazz. More importantly get off my ass from time to time and get back into great health.

If I don't see things looking better soon I'll go get tested for the bacteria ONLY so I can get antibiotics. I really don't think that's the problem though.

even severe bleeding ulcers can be healed with this diet I do 4 times per year.... really works takes a little will power... if you want to know more about it just hit me up will give you links and shit to the online books and manuals on it.

or simply look up
Stanely Burroughs (pretty sure thats the spelling)
The Master Cleanse

Basically you only drink
Water, Organic Lemons, Cayenee pepper and Organic GradeB Maple Syrup for 10 to 40 days... *10 days will do wonders for an ulcer*

I know sounds crazy but it really works.
you can still work *even hit the gym after a few days in* but takes some decent will power the first time you do it.

Thanks for the link, looks interesting. I don't think it's a serious or long term problem, just trying to make sure I knock it out ASAP. This damn webmastering has my health deteriorating. :1orglaugh

The story is true and I'm not trying to scare you..well, maybe I am...so you'll do what you gotta do to get better.

Tev's mom fell onto the floor the day before we were supposed to fly to Internext. One more day, she would have been dead.

We had no idea what was wrong. We thought she'd had a stroke.

In the ER, the doc told us she was bleeding into her belly and she received a transfusion....spent four days in the hospital and came home to angry kids because she had not said one word to us about her worsening symptoms. The first we knew about it was when her eyes were rolling to the back of her head and she was frothing at the mouth and unconscious.

Don't wait. Go to a doc. Get the endoscopy. They'll give you a little Versed, kind of like liquid Valium to ease the discomfort and you'll be fine.

Hmm, I'll look for some info and hit you if I can't find anything in particular. But let me get this straight, no food for 10 days?

Is not for serious conditions only, is more like an aid if you dont really suffer from any serious or long term diseases.

Helps with the healing and also restores the "good bacteria" in the digestive system. Most yogurt lines have some probiotic content nowadays, but this is the real deal.

Is a pain to make Kefir, but looks like you can get it all bottled up and ready to drink on the states..

No discomfort (that is one of the reasons I think it's from NSAIDs rather than bacteria).

I know many people will say get to a doctor and believe me I've heard it 1000 times. My mother in law and sister in law are both nurses. Thing is, I don't do doctors. I'm weird that way, but I'm a firm believer that your body is made to take care of itself. It might take me falling out to get to the doctor.

Head 01-26-2004 06:31 PM

Trying not to get that shit man! But todays medical tech; they've come a long way! Use to be a big deal now it's fuck all!

bauhaus 01-26-2004 06:31 PM

yup no food for 10 days...but you can still work and do most things by the 3rd day your body starts to digest most of its fat...so you will also loose quite a bit of cellulite as well.

Yeah I know sounds a little trippy and very few people I have turned onto this diet have ever completed it...but I do it usually as the seasons change *have done it like 12-13 times to date* and I never have any problems with it... the 'juice' when made properly sustains your body to all its minimum requirements so you can still work your job, hit the gym and yes fuck your wife/girlfriend.

If you are suffering from an ulcer I can almost promise you will feel a hell of a lot better.... and if you do this long enough your ulcer will disappear altogether. Plus this particular cleanse is powerful for removing most of the stored toxins in your body from smoking/drinking/drugs etc.... if you don't have willpower and are overweight this diet will not be completed can almost guarantee you of that. If you really want to give it a go I don't mind running over any questions you have.

Hell will even bet you can't finish 10 silly days on it... as an incentive

That's what caused Mom's ulcer. NSAIDS. And, she didn't have symptoms for a while. She thought she had heartburn, so she took Tums. And, she has a little arthritis...so she kept taking Aspirin and Motrin.

It didn't take long for her to go from being symptomless to 'on the floor'.

I used to be a doctor and I don't do them either..hateful creatures that they are.....

Drink lots and lots of water and don't take Tums or Aspirin or Tylenol or Motrin....or milk..while it coats your stomach, it's a breeding ground for bacteria.....Stay away from acidic foods and good luck to you.

Hehe, that's exactly what I'm doing. No smokes, no asprin, antacid stuff, water, yogurt, etc. I'll be ok.

Well best of luck getting it resolved. Go see a professional though, don't leave it to worsen :)
