Canadians Incorporating In The US

Where did you incorporate and why?

Most I know incorporated in Nevada and Delaware. Anyone else incorporate in say Michigan or any other states?

Are there any companies in the states that are set up to help non-us based companies incorporate in the states?

Thanks in advance!

Why only ask Canadians about incorporating in the US? I'm fairly sure the same rules apply for all foreigners.

Did you just hire a lawyer based out of the states to help you?

my partner, who lives in montreal, incorporated in nevada. we couldn't determine whether delaware (although cheaper) is a porn friendly state.

he used incorporate.com and it took a few minutes.

he incorporated so we could use epoch for processing using his business.

In Delaware.

Used http://www.ailcorp.com . They did it all. Ask them to get the EIN for you.

Prices are on line ( about 400.00 I think).

Yearly fees of 60.00 .

I also read here that EU corp are good too.

Nevada is good, another thing to look at is whether or not the state has a sales tax, how friendly they are to adult, and overall state taxes.

There are a bunch of companies in the US that will handle local representation. CT corporation for one.

I'm assuming this is for an adult co.

?

THEY DO NOT!

Assuming the incorporation is to access processors - why jump into the most anal retentive processing scenario in the world, provide folks with a sperm count and pay for the privilege?

Have a look at incorporating in Europe.. it's less costly, - you can access the counterparts of folks like CCBill, IBill and others thru their Euro base and nobody at this moment is asking for any DNA or AIDS tests - and there is no $750 fees to Visa...

Just my :2 cents: worth! :winkwink:

I agree; why go to the US if it's for CC processing. Pick a nice EU domicile instead. I understand the Gibraltar has some nice incentives right now.

Not that I don't like our American neighbours, but why give Uncle Sam access to all your personal and corporate info?

I think that Delaware is now a state that shares info with the IRS and the Feds. Nevada is where we have put a couple of corps and Gibraltar is a nice place .. i have a friend that sets them up .. in gibraltar basically you are buying a shelf corp that is ran by a trustee. that is what i did

xxxdesign-net 01-26-2004 03:22 PM

Im incorporated in Delaware... with corpomax.com .... However... the lawyer (from corpomax) represnting my company in the states doesnt want to give out is personal info like passport, SSN# or drivers liscense number to CCbill like they're asking for... So looks like I'll have to choose Ibill...

Btw... anyone here knows where to find a resident agent (principal) in the states ready to give out personal infos to CCbill, etc.. ? Or which incorporation company will give those info to CCBill..?

SleazyDream 01-26-2004 03:24 PM

i can't remember what it's called - but there are agents in deleware and nevada that you can use as a US principal. It's smarter than using a friend or business partner for a numer of reasons

I agree, preferably somewhere in Eastern Europe. Western Europe and the US are targets for terrorism and things will get pretty ugly if another big attack was to happen.
