Who here has gotten rid of this nasty habbit? ...

the habbit = not using your time wisely to make $.

examples...

playing games
watching tv
POSTING ON GFY
chatting online
doing nothing

etc etc

i remember reading a post from someone here before, "Those who are unsuccessful are generally lazy". a very true and easy to understand concept.. but

my problem is playin games a bit too much... how do ya go about stopping this damn problem? i'm hooked literally... i think the best thing to do is just to kick this shithead mentality, delete the game, and WORK regardless of what i would WANT to do and hopefully it'll just come natural in time.

its easier said than done though ;)

My bad, I read your title as "hobbit" instead of habit. :helpme

gornyhuy 01-26-2004 12:25 AM

Seriously the best way to kick the game habit is just to uninstall ALL of them.

I did that for a few years and it did wonders. Unfortunately there is still GFY and a thousand flash games to capture your brain...

And I recently bought Tour Of Duty and I'm an addict again. :(

i thought you said nasty hobbit.........

for a sec there i thought you were a Nazgul :1orglaugh

I had to mostly stop playing games because I get way too into them and I know it. That's been the only thing that works for me.

I don't have games on my computers, just have the PS2 for that.
My computers are for work only, i would suggest just get rid of em from your machine so your not tempted to play while working...

FUCK... yes, CALL of Duty... sorry its late and I am severely sleep deprived.
I'm totally hooked.

NO I don't want to play! (not right now anyway. I'll hit you up when I'm awake!)

My last addiction was a quake3 mod called Urban Terror. Activision bought it up and evolved it into Call Of Duty. So now I'm TOTALLYF UCKING HOOKED.

The multiplayer rules, and the mission game play is un-fucking-believable. Specially in the soviet section. Good god.

TDM seriously got too easy, won every fuckin time.. a bit more skilled people in S&D servers.

The trick is to make a to-do list and follow it.

tranza 01-26-2004 12:40 AM

I play a lot on the computer, but I waste most of my time here at GFY....

I spend AT LEAST 3 hours a day here..... I know I've learned quite a bit, but I should limit myself and make schedules so that I don't loose money (time)....

AM Jeff 01-26-2004 12:41 AM

I have this nasty habit of masturbation...while watching cartoons.
