Search engine experts have questions

Is there a max number of keywords sites get listed under? In other words can my site come up under 25, 50 or 100 different keywords if my page is optimized that way? How many different keywords does your site come up under? The reason i ask is i found alot of keywords that match my niche but they come up with low numbers at Overture. I found like 12 keywords that match my niche that show up around 1,000 searches. But when i check google there is between 100,000-200,000 sites listed under those keywords. I think that is little to compete with compared to 2 million for major keywords. Do you think with these low overture numbers I am waisting my time?

yes you can get your site listed for all those keywords. make one page optimized for each keyword. cross link everything, submit

So long as you optimize your pages for those keywords you can get listed. For low competition keywords you can cluster a couple of them onto a single page to avoid having to create potentially millions of pages. But do realize that SE's will index you up to a certain point. You obviously can't create 20 million pages and hope to get them all listed unless you have an enormous pagerank but for the most part, there is no limit. Just optimize well and you should be fine.

Thanks guys:thumbsup

But what about the keywords im using that have low Overture numbers is it worth it? I found like 10-12 keywords that pertain to the same niche but were searched like a thousand times for each keyword a month. These are highly targeted keywords like tiny teen tits (not using that one though:1orglaugh)
