Best inexpensive place to buy domains.

Im going to be buying a pant load of domains this week and I don't want to pay the netsol $30 per domain price that I have been paying for the last 8 years. What is the best inexpensive place to purchase domains these days?

I can set you up with a enom.com retail account with $8.14 domain registrations (.com/net/org/us/info/biz). If interested, send an email to sales at dnsale.com.

If by pantload you mean 1000 or more, I'd strongly recommend dotregistrar. eNom isn't bad either. Godaddy charges more, and if anyone accuses your domain of being the source or beneficiary of spamming, regardless of merit, they'll disable your domain. The $15/year guys are living in 2000. DirectNIC and some others are great companies with great support, but when you're buying domains by the pantload, that's a high premium to pay. Also avoid the places charging under $6 a year, because they always fuck you in the fine print; typically their renewal fees are huge and undisclosed, and they make it a pain in the ass to transfer to another registrar.

Directnic. It's $15 but they have bulk discounts when you buy Directnic Dollars.

They are twice the price of some places but at least your domains are less likely to be stolen.

I think the lowest they go is still over $10/year, compared to $6.50-$8 a year for discount registrars in quantity. And I'd really dispute the "less likely to be stolen" claim. Less likely than what? Network Solutions in 1997 maybe? DirectNIC is among the registrars with an "auto-ack" "feature," that is if you don't reject a transfer request in a five days, transfer requests are automatically approved. Sucks if you don't have "registrar lock" on and you go on vacation. And domain hijackers know the holiday and convention schedules, so Christmas and InterNext are high time for hijacking.
