alright... I'm ready to jump.

I'll always have a deep love for Hawai'i.... but I'm tired of Maui.

So convince me of where & why I need to move to next.

I'm thinking Mexico, maybe Grand Caymans.... something nice, but I need some adventure too.

where else is nice? An island is always my preference, but all options are on the table now. BTW, nothing fucking cold.... I require tropical year round.

Vox 01-25-2004 12:47 AM

Come to Montreal, it's an island too.

NaughtyJenn 01-25-2004 12:48 AM

k, kciked aj out of the bed, its nice and warm inside here :) just dont go outside :)

Joe Citizen 01-25-2004 12:48 AM

you don't know me as well as you think you do.

Amputate Your Head 01-25-2004 12:53 AM

when I said I was moving to Maui (from California), everyone said I was crazy and I'd never do it.

those people have since learned to keep their pie holes shut.

is it so far fetched that I would now decide to go somewhere else?

NaughtyJenn 01-25-2004 12:54 AM

I really got my eye on Mexico right now.... there's alot of things I don't like about it though. But alot of things I do like.

but again, an island is my preference. Anything fully tropical, reasonably low crime rates, and decent food.

(warm ocean water would be nice too)

BRISK 01-25-2004 12:58 AM

Might be hard getting a good high speed connection in the Caymans

Why not try the largest island in the world?

I like it.

The only problem is getting in.

I know it's possible to get high speed in Mexico, but it's probably not as easy as in the US. You might need to bribe some local official with a bottle of Tequila every week to keep it running.

Not really...BUT...The weather in the Cayman's is less than perfect. It is right in the middle of hurricane paths every year.

foolio 01-25-2004 01:10 AM

It's an international banking center. You shouldn't have problems getting high speed access, but it's probably expensive.

BRISK 01-25-2004 01:13 AM

Oh oh oh....I got it!

Move to Guam! It's a US teritory in the Pacific, so you don't need to fuck around with immigration BS and it's tropical

LOL, guess you missed this.
Seriously, if I weren't so tied to Holland for various reasons, that's where I'd move. One of the few tropical island groups in the world that doesn't have to contend with serious tropical storms. Beautiful beaches, warm oceans, low crime rate, and a coconut that looks like this: (claimed by some to be the original forbidden fruit, for obvious reasons)

Not after those pics you posted last week :(

For the money it must cost to live on what used to be the beach - I'd be moving too.

Well... there is always DirecWav (satellite internet) from DirecTV... if you aren't into gaming it's probably decent.

That would take care of the "must have broadband" requirement for those super remote areas.

Start a thread and find out :)

Yep, called the coco de mer

From a trivia site: The Coco de mer also called double coconut, is a palm tree found only on the Seychelles Islands in the Indian Ocean. The coco de mer fruit has 2 lobes and looks like 2 coconuts joined together. The fruit takes 10 years to mature, and can weigh up to 50 pounds, making it one of the largest fruits in the plant kingdom. The shells were found floating in the ocean long before anyone knew where they came from, and they were thought to have magical properties.

good stuff.... keep 'em coming. I wanna pick out lke, three or four places, and go spend at least a week or more in each to get a feel for it. Then I can take that and start narrowing down the fields.
