hey logo artists

i'm looking into getting software to redesign my logos. what are good suggestions for software. someone told me to look into adobe illustrator. whats your opinions

If you are looking to design fancy logos with lots of effects, then Photoshop is best. If you want to design clean, professional corporate style logos that can be used for print and other media, then Illustrator would be appropriate.

Ever heard of Macromedia?

Some of the best designers in the world don't use Adobe products.

i have a copy of illustrator and fireworks too. i have yet to use either.

the logos i want to design are going to be pretty detailed but they're only going to be used for sites, not print

They are doing web design only I think.. classy dtp people and grapgic designers stick to Adobe and all the fancy stuff can be done in high rez also using Illustrator and/or Photoshop. And Adobe Golive rocks too.

Dtp=desktop publishing.

Nighty night :)
