Best mikes for shooting video
This is for those shooting video using external microphones. Which one gives you the best results? I'm planning to buy a couple more, actually using a couple of Shure 4.0 (condenser), one AudioTechnica ATM41 and 1 Sennheiser E 835 (borrowed). As you can see, they're a mix of unidirectional and omnidirectional, but I tend to use no more than 2 with signal mixed and a single output. What do you think is better? Omni, uni, bidirectional, all of them? Wireless or cable? I'm looking for something a little better than my current stuff so any help is really appreciated

I would have thought that unidirectional might be a better choice if there is likely to be street noises or other background sounds that might intrude.

yeah, uni are best for actors, specially reality stuff, but omni give you the ambience you lost with unidirectional. Besides, unidirectional has a tendency to capture the bg noise in the form of "metallic" noise (I like to call it "japanese sound"), so usually it's a good idea to blend them both together. Anyway, looking more for specific models based on experiences
