creditcard funded paypal account sending limits?
 

i was trying to send a fairly large paypal earlier this month (6300 USD), and got a paypal error saying that amount could not be funded with a credit card. so i tried half that, with the same result. first time i'd ever had any trouble sending money.

so i emailed paypal about it, and they finally got back to me today, basically telling me they can't tell me what my limit is, or why it might be limited, due to "security issues".

my question: so is there any way to find out my current sending limit other than trying slightly smaller and smaller amounts?

the most fucked up thing is that i sent a 25K paypal about 18 months ago with no issues. what a piece of work this company has become.

i thought the 1 transaction limit was 10k on paypal i could be wrong tho.

Don't you have to apply for a bigger limit now?

In saying that if you sent $25K once before then I suppose you should have been able to make the payment.

try a different hour,they block randomly transactions. Maybe it has something to do with that.

for that high of an ammount just send a wire will have whoever your paying some $$

The PayPal single transaction limit is indeed $10,000 and has been for as long as I can remember.

pretty sure you could have saved 4-5 hundred just by wiring it.
paypal is fucked and i would never trust that much money in one shot thru their system..

ya, I think its more like 3% PLUS 30 cent fee per trans.

Was it an amex card? Amex will only let you do $1000 on paypal. ...or maybe $1500. All the rest are $10k
