The Impact of CC Capping On Sales

Interesting to note guys that if you have a repeat customer buying 1-on-1 time for example they are getting capped at set limits of about $300 apparently with some processors if not all.

After that they have to go through a fax in your DL, and front and back of your CC and a signed authorization statement process. I doubt many guys will do that. A lot of people don't even have faxes at home.

Just so you know when you see a repeat customer suddenly stop buying from you that's why.

I urge everyone to be a customer and go through the signup process on services you promote under these current new stringent authorization times we're operating under. I tested some this week and it was quite an eye opener. On one system it took 3 good cards before it would take 1 and clear it.

Imagine a customer going through this. They'd give up trying by then.

Yeah this is definitely true .. there's nothing more disconcerting than trying to sign up to your own adult site with a good cc and getting declined.

On our affiliate program we process the orders by hand, and the decline rate is super low .. even on a $300 charge. :)

True, but there is something wrong with the system when it takes 3 cards that are all fine and should go through but don't and its not until several that you get in. Who in real life is going to sit there pulling out every cc they have to find one the system will like?

I think it depends on the site. At amazon.com the surfer will be awfully persistent, at tranny-palace.net they will try once and then email support screaming fraud

why isn't there a password to cc cards when you buy something online. Like if you took out money from a bank machine.

:question

I can be wrong, but I think there is and it's called Verified By VISA. It offers no recurring billing though.

welcome to 1996, the live 1-on-1 studios have required this for 'big spenders' since the beginning. and the big spenders have no problem faxing the information. they are motivated loser.....er.....customers.
