See that lady above? Well, here's a story about her. Her husband beats her ass. She's filing for a divorce but hasn't done it yet. He beat her ass so bad this past weekend that she had a concussion and almost beat his daughter who was trying to pull him off of her! Well, in the wonderful world of Sprint PCS, you get your message notifications whenever the fuck they want to send them to you. So, when I was cruising around tonight, I get a VM notification. I check my vm and I had 10 messages. Well, one is from her husband Chris. Basically, this asshole tells me to never call his wife again and if I did, he'd find me and be waiting on my front porch to bury me. He ends his little temper tantrum by calling me a bitch!! Should I report this to the po po or should I blow it off and just kick his azz. Listening to the shit he "claims" that he's going to do to me is giving me a hardon! I want to fight!! Bring it on you son of a bitch Chris!!

Here you can have a good punch up and if it's with the type of person that "Chris" seems to be they're not going to call the cops, and they're not likely to shoot you. To clarify, I'm not really suggesting that he go over there and kick the guy's ass, for a multitude of reasons (although it would be kind of funny if he did). In my experience those wife beaters fall into two categories - those that bitch out in the face of a real challenge, and absolute Jake the Muss psychos who'll kill anything given the opportunity.

Then, she turns right around and tells me she's on a LD call. I bet he called her from jail and she took the call and he's telling her how much he loves her and how sorry he is for doing that! Okay, in all seriousness... call the police. Let them listen to the VM and record it or file it away or whatever. It will cover your ass (in case he comes over starting shit), it will help cover HER ass by giving the police record a history on this asswipe (even if she pussies out and doesn't press charges, the police can still do something - especially if he happens to hit her daughter), and it will set a precedent that you are an actual businessman who is hiring this woman for work rather than a 'boyfriend' or 'lover' (which is what he'll claim when/if they drag his ass into jail).

Report it to the police, keep the VM filed away somewhere (make a note in your day planner or on your calendar as to what day/time he called and left the message), and move on with life/business.

Trust me, you don't want to respond to this asshole and get dragged into this mess. Nothing but trouble down that road.

Either kick his ass or call the cops, and if you're half-decent, help his wife and her kid find a temporary place to stay.
