Paypal Vs. Epassporte
What's this new fixation with Epassporte? I don't understand. What can they do that Paypal doesn't. They don't even have re-occurring billing. They both offer debit cards. I really don't understand. Help a brotha out! Thanks!

And Epassporte is a well put together team of highly motivated individuals. Thats the biggest difference. |
paypal doesnt allow a lot of countries.
so i use Epass instead and really happy with it. plus a lot of sponsors do instant payout to epass - as soon as you make a sale. i like it. |

Here's how the breakdown goes --
There is a $5 charge to create an account. This charge is money that goes to Visa for royalties on the card number -- since EVERY eP account comes standard with a Virtual Visa/CVV2 that can be used online for purchases. In order to activate this number, Visa gets their money up front. Some sponsors will pay this fee for you, some don't. I do not know how each sponsor is set up fyi. If you already have an account your new sponsors that are paying you via eP would use your existing account and there is no charge for that. When you receive payment into eP account, there is a $2 charge for that. Once again some sponsors pay it, some do it like a check writing or wire fee and make the affiliate pay it. Once again I don't know who is doing what since there are many sponsors set up to pay via ePassporte and my memory isn't that good lol ;) Your eP account also functions similarly to Paypal in that you can transfer money between users. On a personal account the charge to transfer is .25, regardless of the amount of the transaction. If you use your eP account to purchase something at an ePassporte merchant, any fees are charged to the merchant. If you like you can get a Visa Electron card tied to your account. It takes approximately 10 business days for this to reach you once you order it -- and yes, you have to order it and there is a fee of $35 to get it -- once again, Visa is going to get their cut every time the logo or brand name is used before the first transaction occurs... it's their way of making money. Once you have the Electron card you can withdraw money and use the card at qualified POP terminals worldwide. The only two countries that are excluded are Iran and Iraq. The biggest benefit to you as a reseller in getting paid via ePassporte is that your money comes to you immediately, you aren't waiting on checks, if you are non-US your bank isn't charging you to cash a check when you finally get it, and you can spend the money however you like, or take it out in cash with the Electron card. If you want the money wired into your bank, we will do that, but wire fees do occur and they will vary depending on your bank. For instance Bank of America charges me $10 to receive domestic wires and $30 to receive international wires. Once again the banks are getting their cut... Hopefully this will help you dougee :) If not ask more questions and I'll be happy to answer. |
is there a way i can contact you via icq ?

The sponsors I use all take $2 from your payout and thats all.
Then its. $.25 to transfer your funds to another epassporte account or $2 to withdraw it from ATM. $5 a year for the virtual account and $35 for the card. Thats about it for fees no % |

Excerpts from Gammacash:
"Paypal does not allow us anymore to pay our adult webmasters using their services, so if your account was set to be paid by Paypal, you have to change your payment method." Maybe this will happen to all the other adult companies. epassporte is the way to go ... :thumbsup |
I have a friend that wants to set up a site and have a page where surfers can send donations. It is half adult, half information out books etc. Donations are anywhere from $1 to $100
Should he use Paypal or something like Epassport? Thanks for the input. Chuck |
i'm doing very well wih prepaid phone cards, recurring billing and aff. program,
want more info?, hit me up in ICQ 16216853 |
:thumbsup for ePassporte
|
There is only one problem with Epassporte, only 5% of webmasters use it to buy from us.
However if more used it we might have problems with only taking out $300 a day. :1orglaugh The system is good, but it never compares to Paypal when it was running. 4.5% comission, immediate free bank transfer, no upper limit. And KK we got a confirmation email, something Ep cannot do. :( |

Ikobo has grown too big too fast and now their customer support/service sucks. It takes weeks and/or months to get a response from them. Although after months it is quite possible you will not get a response at all. They have hidden fees too. Eg: a customer signsup in error/duplicates a purchase. Or you do not wish to accept a payment from someone for whatever reason. You have to pay them the processing fees and $0.95 to cancel the duplicate/undesired order.
They do not advise you of chargebacks. They just take the money out of your account. although you may get a notice telling you that you initiated a refund. It took a week to get them explain what the fuck happened. They announced a lower fee (2.99%) becomes effective January 1, 2004. Yet they are still charging us 3.99%. Calling them is waste of time. You never get anyone on the phone and they do not return calls. It used to take them 24 hours or less to deposit/release funds collected on our behalf. Now it takes them a minimum 72 hours days to release our money collected. I have written them with all these concerns. Yet nothing changes for the better and they do not respond. They continue on as if we the customers will keep silent about their progressive deterioration. We've been using Ikobo for eight [8] months. Bottomline stay away from Ikobo! Quote:
