I am having the same issue! I just can't find the time to take it down. I think I might have to hire someone to come in and take it down for me ;)

I told you already:


get a fire going in the fireplace, then slowly feed it in top to bottom. Ive done this 3 times now.
Ive also moved 3 times recently :(

Took mine down two days ago, my gf was complaining :mad:

ours came down last weekend, then the wife had to go buy some shit to take up the empty space

make time, cleaning it up isn't that hard and won't take that long... or else you can leave it there for next xmas :1orglaugh

i just took ours down today. made me laugh when i saw this thread

Lucky we were in Utah this year so I didn't put up a tree... when I do I usually end up using it to light the fireworks on the 4th of July.

I think I may leave mine up till July for a Christmas in July party! Good thing it's and artificial tree! Plus I kinda dig the mood lighting it puts off in my living room :1orglaugh

my shit comes down before Christmas Day is over. By the time Christmas finally comes, I'm usually so fucking sick of it already from the sheer bombardment of fucking christmas shit on the tv, the radio, the fucking stores, the paper.... it's like a fucking virus.

Nope. Took it down about the 3rd January.

yes - I couldn't be bothered to take it down before we left for Vegas and now I have managed to someone do something to my arm that makes is hurt like hell when I reach in any direction. So, until that stops hurting it is staying up for a bit. We've stopped plugging the lights in though..lol

We had our tree at the in-laws house so they got to deal with taking it down :P With two kids and three cats, a tree here would have been ASKING for trouble.

In the south, it's considered bad luck to have any of your Christmas decorations up after New Year's. My tree is technically down, but it's sitting undecorated on the deck waiting for me to carry it to the woods. :(

Heck, my wife had ours taken down the day after Christmas.

I'll tell you as soon as you put my J4F account back up pretty lady :)
