    Shaved? What do you think?

    Not going to name any names just yet but...

    Say you send a sponsor a pretty good amount of sales everyday... conversions are good and a little while later ratios start to drop to shit out of no where, same traffic and all.

    Yea yea I know, "that's how it is sometimes n00b, change it up"

    So you stop sending traffic but keep getting sales... 0 hits, 5-10 sales a day... for a little over 2 weeks

    Then one day it just stops...

    I could understand the whole "signups that haven't been processed yet" but... 2+ weeks worth? Then one day bam, that's it?

    Coincidence? Or were these a few bones tossed into the shaved % that was left for me to spice up / randomize sales?

          That's odd. Does the program show raw hits as well as unique? If they only show uniques, i guess it's possible that they're return customers with your ref code in their cookies.

          Does sound a bit shady though.

                  They show raw and unique

                  Here are some numbers for ya

                  73 raw hits
                  37 unique hits
                  99 signups

                  Most of the hits came the two days after I stopped sending traffic (bookmarkers I guess). And some of the hits were me as well.

                                  Sounds like they're having technical problems. Have you emailed the sponsor about this issue yet?

                                      Technical problems huh? That would be a nice excuse. I haven't emailed them about it yet, but I will.

                                      During the ratio drop I talked with their reps (several times) via IM and they said nothing was wrong.

                                      Just wondering what you guys thought about it... seems REAL shady to me, but without the whole "% of sales shown" screen shot... I guess I really got nothing.

                                      Free signups are nice, but I rode those shitty ratios out for a good while... *IF* I was shaved, I know I lost way more than what I got for "free".

                                                  thats the thing with shaving there are too many excuses that can be made to cover it up.

                                                  So most likely you were being shaved and there was a glitch in the shaving settings.

                                                                      Happened to me a few times. With my sponsor I could check urls that sales were being generated from and I saw those URLs were someone else's galleries with somene else's linkcodes but I thought to myself maybe they give my signups away to someone else by mistake too so if I complain I'd only lose those extra signups therfore didn't say a word about it lol.

                                                                      However, if you are sending them traffic thru TGPs it's more than likely that you will do well first few days of adding them then sales will go down. That's how it's been for every single tgp of mine so I'm guessing my bookmarks that would actually buy anything buy as soon as they see somethig they like then rest just like to jerk off to the trailers on my sponsor tour everyday or something that's all

                                                                              The sale came from another site. I went to that site and he was pushing the same program but it was credited to me. Happened 3 times or so.

                                                                                      I can't check reffering URLs / user IPs for sign ups... maybe you're right. In this situation would you believe that if the sponsor told you that was the case? I'm still sort of skeptical about it just being 'technical issues'. Ah well, I guess it's just going to be another unsolved mystery
