Does anyone code in XHTML?

I am taking Internet Applications in college just as a class to get an A in and never have to attend...but the teacher is making us write in XHTML and the sites must completely validate with this: http://validator.w3.org/ . The fucking validator won't allow any attribute like bordercolor or align or anything...It seems that EVERYTHING must be in CSS...maybe I'm just tired or cranky, but this is ridiculous. My site is fine, it looks fine, but the validator says it is crap. errrrr...I use Dreamweaver btw. This just kinda pisses me off...I've been designing sites for years and I can't even make a simple page in XHTML without wanting to kill someone.

so, anyone using this language yet?

Using an old language to do html with?

Nope, its like programming in Python to do a perl script.

The MS and Netscape sites both used to fail the online validator last time I checked.

Does teach you good coding practice to be compliant - but in the real world...

I would say its time for the old cut and paster :)

I do my best to code in XHTML but it can be quite difficult because of IE's incorrect handling of CSS, so you have to use non-compliant workarounds for some stuff.
