I need to buy someone who recently helped me a gift, he is into golfing, what can I get him somethin unique?

A fancy putter comes to mind.

Maybe a customized club or golf ball towel?

Get him a ball washer. Every golfer needs clean balls.

Weekend golf getaway.

I wouldn't go with custom club or putter, too many variables. Left or right handed? how long of a shaft?....

I live on a golf course and everyone looses thier balls in my yard. Mostly bad golfer I guess, maybe he's better & his all end up in the holes.

If he's the kind of guy that enjoys BBQs, then he'll love this. Saw it a little while ago and thought it was adorable.

A membership to a good golf club ??

Golf clubs, especially putters are extremely personal as 99% of golf is about feel.

Most golfers lover anything and everything to do with the game, so books, videos are always a good choice.
Also - does your friend carry (his/her) bag, use a caddy, or use a trolly or buggy. Again, something along those line can be a useful gift.

I say order some personalized Balls and tees Im a golfer and Id like that. Ask what brand of balls he plays first as every golfer likes something different

The Tiger Woods book is really great, I would recommend that one.

Don't get him clubs cause if he's a real golfer he has a good set and you can't mix them. Changes the feel. Get him really good balls or Gloves or even a big bag of ties. If got a little money to spend get him a green fee coupon at a really nice club!

For that amount, I'd suggest either a nice weekend vacation/golf package or a bunch of rounds at his favorite course.

I'd suggest you see if the clubs in your area have a package where you buy so many trips to the different courses and your friend can use them when he wants.

Clubs, balls, bags, those are all things that people who golf alot are really picky about. Playing somewhere nice on someone else's dime is always great tho ;)

Get him a 'Great Big Bertha'. It will run you a few hundred bucks, but any golfer would love that!
